Welcome to Community, @arlandrum1.
I have some information about pulling up the 2021 W-3 form. Since the W-3 form is a summary of your W-2 forms, they are usually available towards the end of the year. This summary document provides a quick overview of the W-2 forms that are attached and sent with the form when you filed them.
However, if you're trying to file the 2020 W-3 forms you can file them by following these steps below.
After we processed your W-2 filing, we'll send you and email letting you know it's complete. You can also check the status though:
If you want to print the form, you can refer to this article for the detailed steps: Print your W-2 forms.
Want to learn more about the process? Check out this guide: File your W-2 forms.
Also, here's a link that covers all tasks you can do when using the payroll feature.
Keep me posted if you still have questions or concerns with payroll forms. I'm always here to assist you. Take care and have good one.
Hello!
I don't need to file, I just need to access the W3 form for printing and I am not able to. The view button does nothing when selected.
Welcome to the thread, @PCoyne.
I'd be happy to guide how to print W-3 form in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Let's try opening your account in a private (incognito) window. Using a safe browser and accessing the program from there can usually fix the issue.
Check out these keyboard shortcuts:
Once done, try to print W-3 form again by following below steps:
If it works, go back to your default browser and clear cache. See Clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online for more information.
In case you'd want to have a copy of W-3 form for the previous years, you can run and print the Tax and Wage Summary report.
For more details about W-3, see below articles:
Please know that I'm just a post away if you have any other questions about the Form W-3. Wishing you and your business continued success.
I have this problem too...the view button is not working on the W3. I can view all the other tax forms, but the "view" button on the W3 appears to be broken.

I've reviewed our ongoing/solved investigations and can confirm there's currently no records of subscribers reporting that their W-3's View button isn't working as it should.
If you're unable to view/print your W-3 form after performing MirriamM's browser troubleshooting steps, I'd recommend getting in touch with our Customer Care Team. They'll be able to pull up your account in a secure environment, conduct further research, and create an investigation ticket if necessary.
You'll be able to reach them while you're signed in.
Here's how:
Be sure to review their support hours so you'll know when agents are available.
Please feel more than welcome to post a reply if there's any questions. Enjoy the rest of your day!
I am having the same problem, but on the desktop version. We are needing to print our W3.
Thanks,
Sarah
Hi @brewcrew.
I can help you print your W-3 form. Let's make sure to update QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release, and you have the latest tax table. This will help rectify print issues for federal forms, especially when the system wasn't able to receive updates for a month or more.
Here's how:
To download the latest tax table, refer to these steps:
Also, ensure that you're currently using one of the supported payroll services that print W-3 forms like QuickBooks Desktop Payroll Enhanced, Payroll Standard, and Assisted Payroll.
Doing the steps above and making sure that you have the right payroll service, you should be able to print W-3 forms in QuickBooks Desktop. I'm adding this article as your reference: Print W-2 and W-3 forms.
In addition, if you want to grant your employees to view their W-2, you can send them an invite to access it online. Feel free to read this article: Invite your employees to QuickBooks Workforce to see pay stubs, W-2s, and more.
Please fill me in if you have other concerns with printing federal payroll forms. I'm always here to see and help your business get larger. Take care and have a great day.
