Hello and welcome to the Community, Shari3.
It would be my pleasure to help figure out why it's showing on your estimates.
You can configure the information entered on the Estimate template in QuickBooks Online.
Here's how:
Please don't hesitate to reach out to me if you need further help by adding additional information or screenshots. Any further details you can provide will help to ensure a timely solution.
You are explaining how to edit estimates. You did not bother to answers op question. This is something new and I was wondering the same thing.
Hello finitetime,
I want to know more about this so we can give you the exact way of resolving the issue.
Is the "Books By Bessie" a field? Are you seeing the "Books By Bessie" in the Estimate window or in the Sales > All Sales tab? What steps did you take so far?
I'd really appreciate it if you can provide screenshots on this. Thanks a lot in advance!
Hi @childofares,
Thank you for providing me the screenshot on where youâre seeing âBooks by Bessieâ.
Allow me to provide you with an explanation about this.
The Create Invoice box youâre seeing with âBooks by Bessieâ is a new feature. Itâs a sample screenshot about creating an invoice and the available ways to receive a payment. It doesnât affect your estimates, nor your invoices.
If you click on the box, youâll be routed to a page to create an invoice for your estimate.
Let me know if you have any other questions. Iâll be here to assist you.
HOW DO I GET RID OF IT
Thanks for getting back to us, @childofares.
Allow me to chime in for a moment and help make sure your concern is taken care of.
Currently, QuickBooks Online (QBO) doesn't have an option to remove this new Create Invoice box feature when creating an estimate. That said, I'll go ahead and submit feedback regarding this directly to our Product Developers team. They're constantly looking for great ideas from users, like yourself, when deciding how to enhance QuickBooks.
I also invite you to send feedback and suggestions as well. This can be done directly through your account by clicking the Gear icon in the top right corner, then select Feedback or by going to the following link: QuickBooks Online Feature Requests.
That should point you in the right direction. Post again here in the Community if you have any follow-up questions or concerns. I'm always here to help. Take care and have a great rest of the day!
This is just a huge popup in my financial software to push quickbook's online payment services. That's not what I'm paying for! If I wanted ads in my software I would have chosen one of the free services.
If it wasn't a huge hassle to learn a new software I would be gone. This is a thought that pops into my head ever few months. I really hate quickbooks.
This is a terrible feature. It's even worse for those of us with touch screens needed due to disabilities. I know the developers have to try to come up with things so they can justify their jobs but to design something as horribly intrusive as it is without an opt out is pretty disgusting on the part of QB. Very disappointing. Doing my job is hard enough and you have made it even harder for me with the placement.
Hi, @finitetime.
Thanks for joining this thread. Allow me to address your concern and get this straightened out.
I appreciate you for providing your insights about the features advertisement in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Finding new ways to adapt to our customersâ needs is how QuickBooks gets even better. I'm preparing a feedback submission to our Product Development Team.
You may also send feedback about your opinion by following the steps provided by my colleague FritzF.
Please know that you're always welcome to post if you have any other questions. Community team will always here to help.
Alessandra, can you explain how this can be considered a "new feature"? A misleading box that appears to be a re-direct to another firm, that only displays info that is already available on the invoice itself (not to mention being accessible on the invoice template itself)? Just wasted 50 minutes with a support tech to get to the bottom of this. If you received an email from a customer that included someone else's name and email address, wouldn't you think there is a potential hacker involved?
Hello there, @peterdague.
Allow me to step in this conversation and provide some clarifications about the box that will prompt upon creating estimates in QuickBooks Online.
The box that will prompt into your screen when creating an estimate is just a representation of what are the payment options of your invoices. These options are applicable if you are subscribed to QuickBooks Payments.
If you wish to remove this portion, we'd encourage you sending this suggestion to our developer. Just click on the Gear and select Feedback or by going to this link: QuickBooks Online Feature Requests. I will also do my part and raise this concern so this will be taken care of.
This information should get you moving today.
Please let me know if I can be of additional assistance. I'll make sure to get back to you as soon as I can. Have a good one!

How do we delete this block? I cannot input email addresses to send estimates.
IF I CAN'T SEND ESTIMATES, I CAN'T MAKE MONEY. IF I CAN'T MAKE MONEY, NEITHER CAN QUICKBOOKS.
Hello there, @SOARESCUE.
I understand it can get frustrating to be prompted with a pop-out window while working with your QuickBooks Online account. Allow me to share additional details about this block.
As mentioned by my colleagues here in this thread, the prompt youâre seeing right now is a new feature that lets you create an invoice or a purchase order for that specific estimate youâre viewing or creating. Youâll receive this prompt only if you have a QuickBooks Payments account.
Since this is covering the email field in your estimate screen, it is possible youâre viewing it on a smaller window page. Currently, thereâs no way to remove this block nor turn it off. What you can do is to maximize the view of your window page. Rest assured, this will affect none of your transactions if will opt out not to choose it.
Please feel free to visit our Community page if there are any accounting and bookkeeping features youâd like to get more familiar with. Iâm always here to answer your inquiries about navigating around QuickBooks Online.
At first I was concerned that my QB had been compromised.
This is unacceptable that an advertisement is placed in a paid product. This must be removed and not feedback sent. This is feedback and action should be taken.
Hello djpeck6402,
Sending feedback about our product is one way for us to provide great services. I'll personally send it to our products development team so they take a look at it your suggestions. I also encourage sending it as well by clicking on the Gear icon and selecting Feedback.

It's not an advertisement, but it is obnoxious

This is an advertisement! Anytime a popup window shows you a new product you are not currently paying for in the hopes you will think its a good idea and make a purchase its called an advertisement. This is exactly the idea behind every popup ever invented. Shame on QB!
Hi,
I'm an engineer from Quickbooks Online team.
Thanks very much for reporting the issue. What you're seeing is a bug. This image was intended for a different screen. Due to the bug, in certain flows, the "Create Invoice" button on the estimate screen got replaced by this image.
This issue has been fixed and got released today. Upon your next login, the "Create Invoice" button should be visible as it used to be.
Thanks,
Thiyagaraj
Oh my gawd, LMAO! đ I'm in software test and this thread is the best laugh I've had in ages! It was hilarious watching the users getting grumpier and grumpier, and the poor beleaguered first line support getting more and more desperate. Then in comes the developer cavalry with a, "Dudes; it's just a bug. Can everyone just chill!" Sigh; good times. đ
If you're an engineer, any chance you could fix the website so I can access the accounting records I'm paying $190 per month to access?
