Why do paystubs look different if they are reprinted? The one printed while doing payroll looks different than ones printed thereafter.

I've checked our records and haven't seen any similar reports.

I'd like to more about this. What makes it different? The information? Can you attach a screenshot?

In the mean time, let's update or repair the Adobe Reader. This helps fix printing issues.

Let's also try to reprint the paychecks using an incognito window. If you're able to reprint without any issues, let's go back to your main browser, then clear the cache. Clearing them solves web browser issues.

Please see attached pay stubs showing the difference.

The pay stubs look like the first example when printing towards the end of the payroll process.  I'm having trouble with them not printing at all in the payroll process now.

When you print a pay stub after the payroll process is complete, it looks like the second example.

The first example is so much easier to read and I would rather have that one at all times.

This is kind of hard to understand communicating it in writing.  Please call me if you need further information.

I can help you sort this out, jecksmith.

Here's how:

1. Go to the Gear icon.
2. Select Payroll Setting under Your Company.
3. Click Preferences at the upper right top.
4. Select Paycheck Printing Settings.
5. Make sure to choose Plain paper stubs (to company handwritten checks)
6. Click OK.

I'm having this issue right now. I want to reprint a pay stub to mail it to my employee. However, the re-printed pay stubs look like checks with the employee's name and address, but the business address doesn't show in the upper left corner. So, it's not formatted correctly to mail in a QuickBooks envelope. I have tried to go through the steps that were given in 2019, but QBO has changed since then. Those options aren't available now. I can click on the gear icon, then payroll settings, then printing. From there, I am only allowed to choose one option: either print pay stub on plain paper, or print on Quickbooks-compatible check paper. I have the second option selected  because I want my paychecks to print correctly. There isn't an option to choose the way a pay stub looks. Can anyone help me with this? I attached a screenshot of the printing options I am given.

Before printing your paychecks or paystubs, you can set your preferences to print your paychecks or stubs to the following:

1. Pay stubs on plain paper
2. Paycheck on QuickBooks-compatible check paper: Select the type of QuickBooks voucher you have (paycheck and 1 pay stub or paycheck and 2 pay stubs). Then select Align check* to set up the alignment.

2. Go to the Gear icon, then click on Feedback.
