I just signed up for online bill pay. Can I accept debit card payment also?

Let me assist you with accepting debit card payment in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

If you want to accept debit card payments from your customers, you have to sign up for QuickBooks Payments. With this, QuickBooks auto-categorizes each payment on your chart of accounts.

Here's how: 

1. Look for the Gear icon, then select Account and Settings.
2. Click Payments, then select Learn more in the QuickBooks Payment section. 
3. Choose Set up Payments.

Once done, the Payments signup window displays three sections:

1. In the Business section, select Start. Fill out the form and tell us about your business. When you're done, click Next.
2. In the Owner/Proprietor section, select Start. Fill out the form and then click Next.
3. In the Payment deposit section, choose Start. You have the option to get a QuickBooks Checking account OR select a different bank account for your customer payments. Get more info about QuickBooks Checking.
   • If you choose to get a QuickBooks Checking account, ensure the name on the debit card is correct.
   • If you choose a different bank account, select Add and search for your bank. Enter the sign-in info you use for your bank, then select Connect.
4. When you're finished with all of the sections, select Get Set Up.

Using QuickBooks Payments, you can process and accept credit card, debit, PayPal, Venmo, and ACH bank transfers for your invoices and sales in QuickBooks Online (QBO). To do so, make sure you set up your company preferences for invoice payments. Here's how:

1. Go to Settings or the Gear icon, then select Account and settings.
2. Select the Sales tab.
3. Click anywhere in the Invoice payments section, then select the payment options you want.
4. (Optional) Enter Payment instructions.
5. Click Save and then Done.
