If i start my account today when can i recieve payments?

Hello @rafaelhunter784- ,

Online payments made by your customers will be deposited into your bank account depending on your deposit schedule. I'll show you where you can check it.

Normally, it takes 5 business days to deposit the payments you receive from your customer after the initial set up. To add, here's how you can check your deposit speed:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Under YOUR COMPANY, select Accounts and Settings.
  3. Select Payments.
  4. Click Deposit Speed.

Once done, you can also check the status of your deposit by following the steps below:

  1. Go to Sales.
  2. Select Deposits.
  3. From the list of transactions, find the deposit you wanted to review.

In addition, here's an article you can read to learn more about your deposit schedule: Find out when QuickBooks Payments deposits customer payments.

Lastly, I've got you this helpful article for ideas about how you can handle delayed deposits: Why is my batch deposit delayed or suspended?

Keep me posted in the comments if you have any other questions. I'll be here to lend a hand.

Depending on your deposit schedule? Why are you not mentioning that beginning April 12th, ACH deposits will be next day, and that 1% of the deposit, up to $10 per transactions, will be taken by Quickbooks? You offered us 5 day deposits with no fee. Now your next day deposits with corresponding fees are mandatory.

Hi there, @sharpka. Thanks for joining the thread.

Allow me to share additional information about the QuickBooks Payments fees.

Once a user subscribed to QuickBooks Payments to process customer payments in QuickBooks Online (QBO), it takes a little longer to process the payment on your first month since we're still setting up your account. Once everything is set and decided to set up instant deposits, you're right that it has a 1% fee of the total amount. This is in addition to the regular fees for processing transactions.

However, if you link your QuickBooks Debit Card, then the 1% fee will be waived.

For more information about the fees when using QuickBooks Payments, see the below articles:

If you have further questions, please let me know by commenting below. I'll be more than happy to answer it for you. Have a great day.

Please explain your comment of "decided to set up instant deposits". I have not decided to set up instant deposits. I do not want or need them, or next day deposits. But according to Quickbooks, I WILL have next day deposits and I WILL pay the fee, whether I have 'decided' to or not.

Thanks for coming back for more support, @sharpka. I'm here to share some insights about instant deposits.

QuickBooks Payment normally processes 5-7 business days if it's your first time using the service. Then, you will have 2-3 business days for your next deposits.

However, if you want to have an instant deposit, you will need to sign up for this feature first. This feature gets the money in your bank account in minutes, rather than days.

You can follow these steps below should you want to request an instant deposit:

  1. Go to the Sales menu, then select the Deposits tab.
  2. Select Get it now in the instant deposit section.
  3. Review the total and associated fees, then select Get it now when you're ready.

You can also schedule automatic instant deposits for certain days of the week. To learn more, read through Step 3: Schedule automatic instant deposits outlined in this help article: Get instant deposits in QuickBooks Online.
