Connecting my email to Quickbooks Desktop for Mac

I am trying to connect my email to my Quickbooks desktop for Mac but i have the 2020 version and all the help guides are for 2019 which don't have the same options as 2020. I need to do this so that I can create an invoice and email it directly to the customer

Connecting my email to Quickbooks Desktop for Mac

Hi there, natetru.

I have some information to help get this set up. Since I'm not sure exactly what email provider you're using, I've included the information for the 3 that are most common. These are the Port and STMP settings for these providers.

These will be used to fill in any information you may be missing when connecting your email account. If I missed any or if you have any other questions, please let me know.

Connecting my email to Quickbooks Desktop for Mac

I'm having a similar issue.  Upgraded from 2016 to 2020 desktop for Mac.  I'm able to add my yahoo email address thru the email task, or at least it looks like it's adding successfully because it doesn't fail the "Testing Connection" step.  I'm using an App password generated thru Yahoo...it was the only way I could get the email to add successfully in QB as QB would fail connection test if I entered my actual Yahoo password.  I've verified two-step authentication is off in Yahoo.

However, when I attempt to email an invoice I receive "Unable to authenticate with the current sessions credentials.  The server returned the response: 5.7.0 (#AUTH005) Too many bad auth attempts.

I tried to add my gmail email address and had the exact same results.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
