How do I connect Apple Card to my account? If I can not, what method can I post Apple Card charges to my Self-Employed account?

Apple limits the website download to PDF.

Follow these instructions below from this other post:

After the month is over, do this:

1. On your iPhone, Select Wallet.

2. Select Apple Card

3. Press Card Balance

4. Under Statement select the previous month (e.g. March 2021)

5. Select Export Transaction

6. Choose the fourth choice (Quickbooks OBO)

7. Transfer to desktop machine. You could text, email. But for Mac users, select the first choice (Airdrop)

8. On Laptop, Click on the downloaded file. If nothing happens, associate QBO file extension with Quickbooks.

9. Transaction magically appear in Downloaded Transactions.

I wish I had known that QB doesn't support Apple CC before I signed up. This needs to get resolved ASAP.

Hi katine,

As of now, we're unable to connect an Apple card in QuickBooks Self-Employed. You can add transactions manually through a CSV file. You can log in to your Apple Card website and download transactions from there into a CSV file format. Then, follow these steps on how to import your transactions into the system:

Let me show you how:

  1. Log in to https://selfemployed.intuit.com/.
  2. Click the gear icon and click Imports.
  3. Select the import transactions link at the bottom of the table.
  4. Click Browse and open the CSV file you've downloaded from the bank.
  5. Match the column name to the data under it.
  6. Click Continue and wait until the file successfully imports.
  7. Then, Done.

For more details, you can click this link: Manually import transactions into QuickBooks Self-Employed.

After the import is done, you can go to the Transactions page where you can review and categorize your transactions. I'll also add an article that will help identify which category the transaction belongs to. See Schedule C and expense categories in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Please don't hesitate to mention me in your reply or post if there's anything else that you need assistance with. Take care and stay safe!

Hi Catherine_B,

I'm afraid I can't see how the procedure you've described here can possibly work.

If I click the gear icon and click Imports, I'm given the option to import transactions ONLY into accounts that already exist. There's no standalone "import transactions link at the bottom of the table."

It makes no sense to import my Apple Card transactions into an account that I've already set up to automatically download transactions from another back or credit card.

I thought I could create a dummy account and import Apple Card transactions into that, but I can't do that either. If I click the gear icon and select "Bank accounts," I can create a new account only by linking to an actual bank or credit provider.

Perhaps I'm missing something—if so, please elaborate! But I suspect the whole Import Transactions page has changed since you wrote this procedure, and now those of us who use Apple Card are stuck.

Thanks for joining us here today, @Victor_G.

I have some information about importing Apple Card transactions. Since this option isn't available yet, you'll want to try the recommended steps above provided by one of our contributors' @simplyvince.

On the other hand, you can manually enter Apple Cards transactions from the Transactions page in QBSE. Please refer to this article for details: Manually add transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

About creating a new account, you're doing it right. However, we're unable to connect to Apple Card as my peer @Catherine_B offered an option to import transactions instead.

You can also check out other articles from the topics here in case you need help managing QBSE.

Please know that we're here to help if you have follow-up questions or concerns, so don't hesitate to reach out. Take care and have a great day ahead.

I’m assuming this will only work for versions of quickbooks with a desktop app on said Mac, correct? Associating it with the browser version (for example QBSE) doesn’t seem like it would work in this way. Or am I missing something?

Thank you for joining this thread ,and I'm here to share some insights about connecting Apple Card, Dash15.

As of now, we're unable to connect Apple card in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE). What you can do at the moment is to download transactions from your bank. Then, manually import them to QBSE.

For QBSE and other QuickBooks program, here's the Apple accounts that are currently supported.

When you're done, review and categorize your transactions to put them in your accounts. This will come in handy for QuickBooks Self-Employed annual tax guide

If there’s anything else I can help you with QBSE, don’t hesitate to post a comment below. I'm always right here whenever you have follow-up questions about connecting Apple Card.

Any updates as to when this connectivity between Apple Card/Goldman Sachs Mastercard and QBSE will be implemented? It's going on 2 years since this thread was opened. Not really interested in manually adding transactions, as it kind of defeats the whole point of QBSE. Was really hoping to use AppleCard as my primary for all business expenses and the lack of urgency to implement is a little disappointing.

Welcome to the Community, lvdesigner.

As of now, we're unable to connect Apple cards in QuickBooks Online. In the meantime, you'll want to manually import your Apple Card transaction through a CSV file.

You can start by signing into Apple's website and getting transactions from there. For your reference, check out this article for more details about the process: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.

Additionally, you can submit a product request inside QuickBooks. We have a corresponding team that gathers the information to be reviewed by our product development team. They'll be the ones to add it in future updates after it's been approved.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon.
  2. Select Feedback.
  3. Enter your product suggestion.
  4. Hit Next to submit.

For future reference, I've added this resource that will guide you in maintaining accurate financial records: Categorize and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

Feel free to leave any comment below if you have further questions about banking. We're always here to help you.

How do I connect Apple Card to my account? If I can not, what method can I post Apple Card charges to my Self-Employed account?

The problem is, the way Apple formats its charges isn't conducive to how QBSE formats. There are no minus signs in front of the charges in an apple account. So when you extract the charges as a CSV file to load into QBSE it receives the charges as income. This means I have to add a - to EVERY SINGLE TRANSACTION I import. I definitely won't be using QB of any kind moving forward. It's clear apple card has been requested to add to the direct connect bank options but QB hasn't taken action. Definitely not worth the money if your main business account for purchases is Apple Card. If it's one or the other, Apple Card is far more valuable.

How do I connect Apple Card to my account? If I can not, what method can I post Apple Card charges to my Self-Employed account?

I have been unable to import QBO transactions into my Elan Financial Services Credit Card account. When I open the downloaded transaction from Web Connect, it send them to my Discover card and says all transactions have been imported. I have been unable to import transactions since 8-1-21. I've done everything in this thread. EXTREMELY FRUSTRATED with how difficult this has become

Good evening, @JAK-TSD

Thanks for chiming in on this thread. This isn't the impression we want to leave you with.

Since none of the steps worked to help your issue, I suggest contacting our Customer Support Team. They have the tools to take a closer look at your account to see why these transactions aren't being imported. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Help (?) icon in the top right-hand corner.
  2. Choose the Contact Us button.
  3. Enter your question and hit Let's talk
  4. Scroll down and choose to Get to callback

Afterwards, you'll receive an estimated time of when they'll give you a call.

Keep us updated on how the call goes. If you have any other concerns, just let me know. Have a fantastic Monday!

OP here.  What is it now, 2 years later and still no support for Apple card? Ridiculous. Still making us do this cumbersome workaround. Still saying that you care about the customer experience in what I am forced to conclude is an intentionally limited-functionality product, but if we want a product that actually works, we have to pay a lot more for one that has a raft of features that we don't need just to get the couple that we do.

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community, Mark!

Currently, the option to connect Apple Card to QuickBooks Online is unavailable. I'll provide a workaround, so you can bring your transactions onto the Banking page.

You'll want to export your transactions to a CSV file and manually upload them to QuickBooks. If Apple only offers an XLSX format, you can save it as CSV (comma delimited). Please refer to this article about formatting the contents of your file: Format CSV files in Excel to get bank transactions into QuickBooks.

You can also check about categorizing and matching transactions for your additional reference.

Let me know if you have questions as you go through the process. I'm just right here to continue to help.

It is now October 2022, this thread started at the beginning of 2020. Is there still no way to directly link an Apple Card account to QB? Seems crazy that after 22+ months this still doesn't exist. Please listen to the requests, Quickbooks. The card is issued by Goldman Sachs, and there are other Goldman Sachs login options - how is this so difficult?
