Melio payment not received

I don't understand how Quickbooks partnered with Melio for online bill payments.  We have Quickbooks enterprise desktop, when we upgraded to 2022 we were force to change to this Melio bill payment.  From the beginning there were issue which Quickbooks could not resolve and Melio doesn't have a phone number? How ridiculous is that! at least 10 calls with QB techs who were clueless to this Melio thing.  Finally supposedly got it to work to send the payments but the QB tech said I needed to email Melio because even with his help we could not log in to Melio and I needed an account with them.  So I emailed them on 10/20/2022 regarding the accessing of the account.  All along it looks like our payments are going, I receive the confirmation email and absolutely no sign of any problem.  On November 3 I get an email from Melio saying because we are going through QB we don't need to have an account with Melio.com (as the QB tech had said we needed) and by the way, there are 34 payments you have scheduled that have not been sent because we are missing information on YOUR address!!!!  Our address is fine in QB, every check I've sent through this ridiculous Melio system takes forever and makes me confirm the vendor address, yet they have an issue with our addres, 34 days, 34 payments not gone and absolutely no notification to us???  We came within 2 days of having a major insurance policy cancelled because we had sent 2 check they had never received!  And now are having to contact all our vendors to explain and hopefully they don't cancel us.  In addition to this the QB techs have been 1,000000000000% useless!  They have no clue, they have no idea about this Melio thing, they refer me back to Melio which doesn't have a phone and yesterday I was on the phone with a QB tech who put me on hold for over an hour and a half all because she had no idea what she was doing and didn't want to bother with my issue, which is a major one if I can't pay my vendors.

I can not believe a company like Quickbooks has partnered with this Melio to handle our payments, I have always enjoyed QB but this has been a nightmare!  It has taken me tens of calls, tons of hours with clueless techs, and to find out our payments didn't go and no one had notified us!!! How irresponsible of Quickbooks and Melio!  I had been on vacation and if my vacation had been this coming week we probably would have had lots of services and major insurances cancelled as payments had not been sent.

Can not believe what Quickbooks has done!

Melio payment not received

The process is be prepared for the most aggravating series of chat and e mail tag with people who can't do squat about it, and who transfer the issue to someone else, probably with gross errors in the actual issue.  I actually had them transfer three payments via ACH to an account not provided to them by myself or the vendor.  How this could have happened I have never obktained anything that approaches a valid explanation.  After at leat 60 interactions over a months time, I was fortunate to get the two larger transfers returned to me, but they say they can't do squat about the third.  You know what that means?  I had to pay the vendor again, and Melio won't tell me where the original payment went, or where they got some routing information from that is not my vendor.

I would suggest using any method of payment other than Melio.

I have had more than 60 chats and e mail exchanges with Melio for ACH payments that apparently went to an account not provided by me or the vendor,, and after more than a month,, they said, we don't have the money, the receiving bank will not respond, so guess what, I had to pay the vendor again via alternate means.

Melio "chat" support connects you to someone who can't really do anything, knows nothing about accounting, and attempting to resolve a payment issue is the most annoying waste of time I have experienced in 40 plus years of accounting.

I wish I could help, but from my experience, you are in for an endless exchange of chats and e mails, and the chances of a satisfactory outcome are not good..  They actually transferred three payment via ach to a vendor I had not provided banking information for, the vendor claims they never did, and never received the funds.  Since the funds were gone from my account, I didn't know anything was wrong until a monthly statement failed to show the payments.

After more than a month and at least 60 different interactions with Melio "support"  I did get 2 of the payments back, but they say there is nothing more they can do????

Biggest dog and pony show I have ever experienced.

Melio or someone still has some of my money, and I had to pay the vendor again.

Good advice if you want to get a big runaround, and no satisfaction to their mis-routing of funds withdrawn from your account.  After more than a month and more than 60 exchanges with Melio support, I still have funds gone from my account and not received by the vendor.  I had to pay the vendor via alternate means to bring my account current.

Gee, you can "chat" with someone who can really do nothing but tell you they will probably have to pass your issue on to someone who can actually do something.  With any luck, they will get back to you in a few days and tell you it will be another thirty days until they will even consider doing anything.

Meanwhile, I suspect your vendor is not particularly happy, but will understand.

Just consider yourself lucky they didn't send three payments via ACH to some bank account certainly not provided to them by me, allegedly by the vendor, who never got the payment.  But hey, heaven forbid they disclose where the money went to protect "privacy and security" without a subpoena.

In my experience, their "security and control" of your funds is on par with a porcelain piggy bank.

How can anyone actually take Melio seriously when they don't have a field in the vendor profile for the single most important information for proper application of payment, namely customer ID/account number.  Who designs this stuff?

Intuit should be embarrassed and ashamed to have partnered with this group.
