Hello all,
I have read through the Online ACH payment information provided in this feed and I still am having a problem.
Performing the following steps;
+New
Pay bills
Online payment mode off
All payees due appear (47)
When Online payment mode is on
Only 38 payees due appear
There are no filters applied on either mode.
Why is this happening?
Thanks
I recognize this was a challenging experience concerning the payment dues, @jgl1955. What we can do is, call our support team again in QuickBooks Online for account validation.
One of the possible reasons payment dues aren't appearing is that some don't have an online payment mode set up. Since we haven't access to your accounts, our phone agent has devices to view the status of your ACH payment account.
With that, I encourage you to call our support team again to investigate this further.
Here's how:
If you decide to change your bank account for QuickBooks payments, I have this link that guides you along the process: Change the deposit bank account for QuickBooks Payments.
If you encountered rejected ACH payments, let me present you this article consisting of a list of errors and available fixes: Fix rejected ACH payments or fees in QuickBooks Payments.
I'll be here if you have other concerns with your ACH payment. Let me know in the thread below.
I just wrote a lengthy reply... posted it... and got a message saying... "error, post didn't work."
QB does not take ACH payments. Sadly, their web site continues to say they do... but their representatives say they don't.
Signup a separate Melio account as I mentioned earlier. You can pay your bills with ACH for free.
I signed up for a Melio account... and it didn't sync with QuickBooks Online... so Melio wasn't the solution either. However, I found the solution to why QuickBooks wasn't accepting an ACH payment: the customer's bank was blocking transactions with QuickBooks. So, it turns out it wasn't a QuickBooks issue! Another thing I discovered... after calling QuickBooks (8 separate times), I could never get an answer... but, by using the CHAT function, I was able to communicate the issue, and within an hour they found the problem. Yea! Thanks everyone for your help... this was a tough one to uncover.
Thanks for updating us on this, @jgl1955.
I appreciate you for contacting our chat support team to assist you with syncing Melio to QuickBooks Online. I'm also glad to hear that they were able to help you fix the issue you're having.

I am trying to allow customers to pay their invoices online via ach. When I am in the Edit Customer area and try to select l
Bank Transfee (ACH) in the Online Payments area it says it looks like I already have a payment account with Quickbook that needs to be updated to enable the feature, close and reopen QuickBooks so it can update the account. I have done this and it still doesn't work. Please help
Hello there, @Rapidcleaning. I want to ensure that your issue regarding online customer payment will be sorted out.
To start, we have to make sure that you've signed up for QuickBooks Payments service so you'll able to process customer payments online. You can verify it on the Accounts and settings page. Here's how:
Once confirmed, we can perform some troubleshooting steps to determine if the error you get is a browser-related issue. We can start with running your account via incognito mode since this does not store cache files that might cause odd behaviors when running web base programs. Below are the shortcut keys you can use:
Once signed in, open your customer profile again and edit the payment details. From there, check if you can now select the ACH without issue.
If this works, go back to your regular browser and clear the cache to eliminate piled-up files that might cause the error. If the same thing happens, I recommend reaching out to our Merchant support team to further investigate the issue. They can pull up your account in a secure place and help you get rid of the error.

I'm always here ready to lend a hand if you have other concerns managing your customer's payments, please don't hesitate to leave a reply below. Have a good one, and stay safe.
I am looking for an option other than Melio - I've read horrible reviews so I'm not comfortable using Melio
What other options are there than Melio? I've read many horrible reviews and am not comfortable using their program.
Hello there, @robrae. I'll lend a hand in finding a program to pay your bills electronically in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
QuickBooks integrates with hundreds of third-party software developers. While I’m unable to recommend an app, I can route you to the website where you can look for an application specific to your business needs. From there, you can integrate the app into QBO.
Here's how:
Moreover, you can use these steps inside your account:
Otherwise, you can look for a third-party app that offers online bill payment solutions in QBO outside the QuickBooks website.
On top of that, check out this article for additional guidance on handling your business expenses: Enter and manage bills and bill payments in QuickBooks Online. Simply navigate to the Record payments towards bills section for relevant steps in paying your bills in QBO.
Please don't hesitate to reply to this thread if you have any other questions regarding handling your bill payments. I'm just around to help.
