I have been unable to get clear answers about Pro Advisor rates for QuickBooks Payments. Merchant Services sends me to Online Support and they send me back to Merchant Services. I have been riding this ping pong ball for days. Today I was directed to Quickbooks Accountants website and spoke with Sales, who could not help me because I was not a new customer, already having a merchant account. My clients who use QuickBooks Payments have a similar complaint when they try to get support. We need one landing place!
@24950459 Thanks for joining community.
I'm sorry to hear you're having a hard time finding the department you're looking for. I can help you contact ProAdvisor support.
The number for ProAdvisor care is 1-888-333-3451.
Come back if you have additional questions.
Thanks. I called that number and was passed on to a second rep because the first one said he had no expertise. So common when there are Merchant Services related questions. The rep I finally spoke with introduced me to camps.intuit where I found my fee schedule. However, it was disconcerting to see "e-invoice n/a" when I bill 90% of my clients that way! And I certainly pay more than "n/a" whatever that is. I prefer more transparency and much, much less time on the phone.
@Yogi Welcome back, I'm glad to see you were able to see the information you were looking for.
QuickBooks Online merchant accounts are the only type of account that qualifies for an E-Invoice rate. If you see "e-invoice n/a" listed, it's because the account being referenced is a desktop account. Desktop customers have invoiced payments configured as Keyed payment rates.
You can see the different rates based on product if you visit payments.intuit.com.
let me know if this answers your question.
Hello,
I came across your post when I was searching for the same question you asked. I have been tossed back and forth trying to get an answer. I went to the camps.intuit like you posted but cannot seem to find the e-rate. We have QB online but are getting charged a higher rate then the fees listed. Any insight you could give would be greatly appreciated
Hi there, @dianejandhllc.
It is very important to know what was the payment all about and why it cost that much. With that being said, I recommend contacting our Payments Support team. They can check on your account's charges and provide you a precise explanation of why it cost that much.
You can also ask them further questions for enough information that you need. Also, feel free to read this article with the Frequently asked questions about Payments: QuickBooks Payments FAQ.
Let me know if there's anything else I can help you. Have a good day!
Hello,
I spent a couple hours going back and forth with QB's and have gotten no where. They either refer me to another division in the company or read the same FAQ’s. I even spent an hour with someone looking at my screen through glance.intuit. Everything seems to be set up correctly but QB is still charging more. Everyone seems speechless and I cannot get an answer
I am trying to find out why we are charge 3.4% +.25 cents per transaction for customers that pay through the invoices we send to them. According to the QB fees it should be 2.9% + .25 per transaction for invoices. When the customers receives the invoice they click on the tab 'Pay Invoice." Here they have the option of credit card, debit or bank transfer. They have to enter their credit card number, expiration date etc...
Quickbooks is charging us for "keyed" transactions but there is not other option for the customer to enter their information
Has anyone else come across this issue? Is there a way to check if we are actually set up for the E-Rate Invoice fee? Another post mentioned going to camps.intuit.com but I cannot seem to find out any information from there.
I should mention we have Quickbooks online. Please help. Every little bit saved adds up
Thank you for your help
Hi there, dianejandhllc.
Thank you for coming back and for providing additional information on what you've done to resolve the issue. We didn't receive any reports about customers getting overcharges when processing payments. I'll provide information about payment processing fees in QuickBooks Payments.
QuickBooks Payments charges a fee each time you process a transaction. Fees also depend on how you processed the payment. That said, for swiped transactions, it can cost 2.4% and 2.9% for invoiced and 3.4% for Keyed + 25¢ per transaction.
For additional information, you can click this article: What are the fees for QuickBooks Payments?.
I'd suggest contacting our QuickBooks Payments Support again as provided above. They have the tools to pull up your account to further investigate the exact charges you supposed to receive.
Please also refer to this article to check how long it takes to get customer payments in your bank account: Find out when QuickBooks Payments deposits customer payments.
Please keep in touch with us here in the Community should you need any further assistance. I'm always here to help.
Thank you again for reaching out. I want you to know that I completely understand the fees. What I do not understand and what I am trying to get an answer is why we are charged 3.4% when customers pay through the Quickbooks invoice that is sen to them. On that invoice, that is through QB's, is a pay now button. To me it seems they are paying through an invoice. Therefore, according to the fees that everyone refers me to should be 2.9% plus .25 per transaction.
All I want to know is why are we charged for Keyed?
I have read the same articles you all send. Very informative but does not solve the issue. The only answer I keep receiving is someone else to contact and to read the same exact information.
Please help
Greetings! Was this issue ever resolved? We are having the same issue with the charges and the same process of being bounced from department to department.
Were you able to get answers for this issue? I'm having the same experience and not getting anywhere with quickbooks.
I am having a similar issue. While my e-invoice payments are being charged the 2.9% as promised, my keyed payments are being charged 3.4% rather than the 3.1% ProAdvisor rate I was promised. I am on the phone with them as we speak. I found transparent posted pricing for all methods for ProAdvisors here:
https://quickbooks.intuit.com/accountants/products-solutions/merchant-services/
I am hoping that this article coupled with the email I have from sales quoting these same numbers will get me somewhere.
Here's the link with the Proadvisor pricing for merchant service! I hope you find it helpful
https://quickbooks.intuit.com/accountants/products-solutions/merchant-services/
Are you using desktop? The pricing link provided in this thread https://quickbooks.intuit.com/accountants/products-solutions/merchant-services/ has a toggle. If you change from online to desktop, the desktop percentage changes and becomes the same as the keyed figure. I guess this is a punishment for using desktop QB instead of online QB.
