Unprofessional / bad formatting on payment receipt emails in QBO

Hi,

When I collect payment via ACH from the receive payments screen, and opt to send the customer an email of the payment receipt, this is what it looks like (date is poorly formatted):

I cannot find a way to adjust the form so that the date doesn't break to the next line. Please advise, thanks.

Unprofessional / bad formatting on payment receipt emails in QBO

Hello there, Lorim3651.

There are times that the browser is full of frequently accessed page resources, thus causing websites, like QuickBooks Online,  to act weirdly. Try logging into the system using a private browser. To use a private browser, here's how:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Option + P

Then, try opening the payment receipt and preview it. If this works, it means that you need to clear your browser's cache so the system can start fresh.

If you get the same result while using a private browser, I recommend switching to a different browser.

Let me know how this works. I'm just around to help. Take care!

Unprofessional / bad formatting on payment receipt emails in QBO

Hi Catherine,

Thanks for the reply.

This is not a browser issue- this formatting issue is on a pdf that gets emailed to clients when we send them a receipt after we process their invoices via ACH.

Thanks,

Jeff

Allow me to step in and provide some steps to fix the alignment of the date, jeffmjack.

You can use other supported browsers and check if the PDF file is showing the same alignment. Check out this to know which browser to use: System requirements for QuickBooks Online, Accountant, and QuickBooks Self-Employed.

If you're getting the same results, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Online Team. They can create a case under your company and forward it to our Product Team for a fix.

Here's how to contact them:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Select Help (?).
  3. Click Contact us and choose a way to connect with us:
    • Chat with  us
    • Have us call you
    • Call us.

Please take note of the support hours I've listed below:

  • Plus, Essentials, Simple Start M-F 6 AM to 6 PM PT and Saturday 6 AM to 3 PM PT
  • Advanced, any time, any day.

I'm adding this link if you need to check the format of your sales forms: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

Let me know how the contact goes or if there's anything else you need by commenting below. I'll be around to help you.
