What are the ach payment fees Quickbooks Online charges?

The fees for ACH payments and processing depend on the method of payment used, Luisa. I'll share further details on this matter.

When you utilize QuickBooks Payments to accept payments, there's a transaction fee charged, which is subject to change based on the method of payment used: 2.5% for swiped cards, 2.99% for invoiced payments, and 3.5% for keyed payments. If you choose ACH payments, you'll be levied a 1% fee, with a maximum of $10 per transaction.

The guidance on ACH fees is confusing and inconsistent.  On some pages, it indicates that the ACH processing fee is 1% of the transaction.  On other pages and Q&A it lists the fee as 1% ($10 max).  Which is it and why is it so difficult for QBO to give a straight answer?

I can see how the varying information on our website might lead to some confusion, DCMita. Let me clarify the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding ACH processing fees for QuickBooks Online.

The standard ACH processing fee for QuickBooks Online (QBO) transactions is 1% of the transaction amount. However, some inconsistencies in our Q&A sections arise due to differences in subscription plans and discount eligibility.

For existing customers who have requested a rate review, the cap on the standard fee is set at 1%, with a maximum of $10 or $15, depending on their current QBO subscription plan or qualification status.

I suggest visiting this article to find out if you qualify for discounts and how to request a rate review for your account: Request a rate review of QuickBooks Payments discount fees.

If you qualify for a rate review of QuickBooks Payments discount fees, I recommend contacting our payments team. Log in to your QBO account using a web browser. Then, follow the steps below to get in touch with them.
