Hi there, @pshaw1.
Let me assist you in getting the latest 2024 updates to ACH payments in QuickBooks Online. If you use QuickBooks Payments to take payments, there's a fee each time you process a transaction. ACH payments have a 1% charge on each transaction.
For more information about payment rates, check out this updated article: What are the fees for QuickBooks Payments?
You can also find more information about fees for ACH transactions in this article: Bank payment fees.
Let me know if you have any clarifications about the ACH fee. I'm always around to help you. I wish you more success in your business!
No, the website you refer to does NOT mention the max being $10. Please confirm if there is a cap.
Allow me to join this thread to discuss ACH payments or processing fees in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @maisiew.
In QuickBooks Payments, my colleagues are correct about the fee of 1% for ACH Payments on each transaction. Concerning the cap per transaction, I acknowledged that this isn't posted on the website shared to this thread. With that, I'd suggest you contact our Merchant Services Team to confirm the following information as they have the most up-to-date list of Standard Payment Fees & Rates.
Here's how:

I've been using ACH transfers in QBO for years. The charge was 1%, capped to $10.
Sometime between October and November 2023, the cap went up for ACH fees from $10. to $15.
In late October 2023 I had an invoice over $1500 paid with an ACH and the fee was the usual $10.
In early November 2023, perhaps 2 weeks later I had another invoice over $1500 paid with an ACH and the fee was $15.
All my invoices since then that have been over $1500 and paid with an ACH have had the new fee cap of $15.
I was able to verify this by going to Settings>>Accounts and Settings>>Payments>>Payment Methods (There is a link marked "See Rates"; click on it.) The pop up window says: ACH 1% / max $15
I was never notified of the change.
So, there you go. Yes I can verify the current rate for ACH payments is 1%, capped at $15.
I use QBO, Simple Start.
Hope this helps!
