Hi there, @pshaw1.

Let me assist you in getting the latest 2024 updates to ACH payments in QuickBooks Online.
If you use QuickBooks Payments to take payments, there's a fee each time you process a transaction. ACH payments have a 1% charge on each transaction.

For more information about payment rates, check out this updated article: What are the fees for QuickBooks Payments?

You can also find more information about fees for ACH transactions in this article: Bank payment fees.

Let me know if you have any clarifications about the ACH fee. I'm always around to help you. I wish you more success in your business!

No, the website you refer to does NOT mention the max being $10. Please confirm if there is a cap.

Allow me to join this thread to discuss ACH payments or processing fees in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @maisiew.

In QuickBooks Payments, my colleagues are correct about the fee of 1% for ACH Payments on each transaction. Concerning the cap per transaction, I acknowledged that this isn't posted on the website shared to this thread. With that, I'd suggest you contact our Merchant Services Team to confirm the following information as they have the most up-to-date list of Standard Payment Fees & Rates.

Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. Click the Help button.
  3. In the QuickBooks Assistance chat box, select Talk to a Human or tap the Contact Us button at the bottom.
  4. Then, type in your reason for contacting us in the What can we help you with? Box and click Continue.
  5. From there, choose a way to connect with us: Chat with us, get a Callback, or call our support line directly by getting our Phone number.

Additionally, refer to this article for other options when contacting them. You can also scroll down to the bottom to see their support schedule and hours: Contact Payments Support.

What is quickbooks ach fees

I've been using ACH transfers in QBO for years. The charge was 1%, capped to $10.

Sometime between October and November 2023, the cap went up for ACH fees from $10. to $15.

In late October 2023 I had an invoice over $1500 paid with an ACH and the fee was the usual $10.

In early November 2023, perhaps 2 weeks later I had another invoice over $1500 paid with an ACH and the fee was $15.

All my invoices since then that have been over $1500 and paid with an ACH have had the new fee cap of $15.

I was able to verify this by going to Settings>>Accounts and Settings>>Payments>>Payment Methods (There is a link marked "See Rates"; click on it.)  The pop up window says:    ACH       1% / max $15

I was never notified of the change.

So, there you go. Yes I can verify the current rate for ACH payments is 1%, capped at $15.

I use QBO, Simple Start.

Hope this helps!

What is quickbooks ach fees

I have been using ACH transfers in QBO since 2022.  I do recall the charges being first 10.00 per ACH payment & then they jumped up to 15.00 per ACH payment.

I recieved in email with this increase as QuickBooks emailed me notification about this. Now my account is being charged 1% now on all ACH payments. becoming much more than 15.00 per transaction.  I was never informed abou this. I have been calling the service center for the last 4 days to figure this out & no one was giving me an answer.  Can someone assist me with this? As the 1% charge per ach payment is much more drastic than the 15.00 payment. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thx

Alex

If you run B2B, consider having a 3rd party processor to integrate with QB and accept ACH payments for free.

My fees went from $1 per ACH to $20 per ACH....why so much?

Every cent is crucial, so I understand how the increase affects your business, David2266. Let me provide you with some details to clarify this.

Yes, there has been an increase in QBO Payments (US) Processing Fee Pricing. QuickBooks Payments users pay a fee of 1% of the transaction (max $10) to accept ACH payments. For current users, the maximum fee is $15, while there is no cap for accounts opened on or after September 6, 2023.

Intuit regularly evaluates its pricing in the market. By raising prices, we can continuously reinvest in our products and services, which in turn help our customers effectively manage their businesses.

To understand why the fees totaled $20 per ACH, I can guide you to our representatives for further investigation. Allow me to demonstrate how.

  1. Go to the Help icon and choose Search.
  2. Click the Contact Us button and enter your concern.
  3. Press Continue.
