I am unable to align the 1099-NEC form on QB desktop 2022. The alignment tab does not align the information to the form. QB 2021 works fine, but not 2022. I suspect there is a software issue, but it needs to be updated and corrected ASAP.
Thanks for reaching out to us, GJ615.
Let me help you keep the process of aligning your 1099-NEC easy.

This is an issue with 2024 as well. Using 3 to a page standard forms. The bottom form is aligned and the upper two forms need to go up. If I adjust the alignment up, the bottom form is no longer aligned and the middle one is. This is a software issue where QB Desktop has not been properly programmed for standard forms. Otherwise the alignments would be off throughout the sheet (all 3 forms).

The challenges you're facing could stem from several factors, and we'll tackle each one together. Let's break them down step-by-step to identify the best possible solutions.
First, update QuickBooks to the latest release to ensure you have the newest features and product improvements. While you do that, please verify that your forms are QuickBoos-compatible. Click here to check out QuickBooks Pre-Printed 1099 Kits in the Intuit Market.
After you've ensured that QuickBooks is up-to-date and the forms you are using are verified compatible, proceed with these steps to generate and print 1099s:

I have updated and printed all of my other tax forms with no issues. This is a software issue on your side. The alignment is off only on the top two forms, not all three. This is not a printer issue and everything is updated in both payroll and regular QB desktop. Please put in a ticket and have a patch created. This happened over the last 3 years and has still not been resolved (including calls to your tech support). So once again, I have to go pay for something outside of QB to get my forms printed.
