I have a client's discover card linked in QBO to import all transactions and that is working fine. However, QBO will not import/download the monthly statements from Discover. How do I fix this? Is this a QBO issue or a Discover issue?
Thank you!
Hi there, @TD Accounting.
I'm here to help ensure your client's bank statements/transactions will be imported or downloaded to QuickBooks Online (QBO).
For most banks, QuickBooks downloads the latest available transactions every night around 10 PM PT. Some may take a little longer.
Is your client getting any error messages in the Banking menu? Any additional information will help me provide the best resolution.
In the meantime, let's download them by clicking the Update button. Here's how to do it:
If the same thing happens, please check out this article and proceed to step 2 for more troubleshooting steps: What to do if you get a bank error or can't download transactions in QuickBooks Online.
If the transactions are now showing, you can now proceed with reconciling them to ensure your accounts are balanced and accurate. Refer to this article for further guidance: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.

Utilize the trial version of MT Online to isolate the issue. It is designed to import into any bank or credit card in QuickBooks Online, so there is no specific setting needed. If the same error persists, there is an ongoing problem at your bank or connection.

Has anyone found an answer to this question? My credit card transactions show up in the register but when I go to reconcile those accounts, my statements are not importing and I have to enter in all of the transactions manually to reconcile. How can I get my statements to import from Barclays, Capitol One and Wells Fargo?
I have some tips on how your transactions show on the reconcile page. Endlessroadent.
Bank transactions are already downloaded from your bank when they are shown in the register. This means they should show up on the reconcile page. There are several reasons why you're experiencing missing transactions. This happens due to the following reasons:
You'll want to ensure that the date of the transactions matches the reconciliation period. Aside from that, the Reconcile page only displays transactions for the selected bank. Make sure it is posted to the correct bank account so it appears on the page
Lastly, reconciled transactions won't appear again on the Reconcile page. Make sure, you have not previously reconciled them.
On the other hand, if statements aren't imported or downloaded from your bank, you can manually attach a bank statement to a reconciliation.
On top of that, you can also manually download transactions to keep up with the latest ones.
Furthermore, learn how you can keep track of your cash workflow so you'll see money that comes in and out of your business. I've added this article: Use The Cash Flow Planner in QuickBooks Online.
