Exporting a Report into Excel Issue

 When I tried to export the report I get the following pop-up message: "Excel allows 256 columns in a worksheet. This report has 10 columns (1 row title columns +9 data columns) Use "customize" to change the number of columns in this report."

I can walk you through the procedures of customizing your reports in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

 

Before we start, make sure your version of QuickBooks is up-to-date. This can also fix minor issues when exporting reports from QuickBooks to Excel.

 

It's possible that your QuickBooks Desktop version isn't compatible with your current version of Microsoft Office. With that, you can check each system requirements for QuickBooks Desktop below:

 

 

If everything is up-to-date and you're still having trouble exporting it to excel, you can follow the steps in this link from Microsoft to repair Microsoft Office.
