Hi Community. I can't see transaction at my end of a paid invoice. Yesterday the customer paid by Visa but I can't see any indication foe the payment at my end. Thanks

Hey there, @david224

It's great to see a new face here in the Community. I can point you in the right direction of how you can see if you're customer has paid their invoice. Don't worry. It only takes a few easy steps.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Sales tab on the left-hand menu bar.
  2. Select the Invoices portion of the page.
  3. Locate the invoice.
  4. Hit the drop-down arrow in the "Status" column.

Afterward, you'll be able to see if it's paid. Here's an article that can help you find out when QuickBooks Payments deposits customer payments

These steps should do the trick. If you have any other questions or concerns, don't hesitate to ask. I'll always be around to help. Have a great day!

Thanks for the clarification, @david224. I'm here to share insights about the payment status of your deposits in QuickBooks.

Credit card payment deposits take one to two business days. However, the credit card payments to be transferred to your bank would take 5-7 banking days. It also varies on the following factors:

  • Time of day you enter transactions.
  • Weekends and federal holidays.
  • The financial institution where transactions are deposited.
  • How long it takes for your bank to verify and process electronic deposits.

Here's how to check the status of processed payments from QuickBooks Online:

  1. Log in to QuickBooks Online.
  2. Go to the Sales menu, then select the Deposits tab.
  3. Click the bank deposit you want to review.

For more insights on the payments process, refer to this help article: Find out when QuickBooks Payments deposits your money.

In case you haven't received the funds on the allocated time, I recommend contacting our Merchant Services team to check your account and review why you're getting some delays in receiving deposits.

For future reference, you can also check out this article to learn more about how to get instant deposits into your bank account in less than 30 minutes.

I'm always around here to provide additional support if you have more concerns with your Payments account. Take care.

Hi katherinejoyce

WOW!!!

Thanks for the VERY detailed reply!

Very educating!

I followed your guidelies, and in fact I should expect the deposit on... 1/4/2021

That is slow.

The payment was done on the 28th and it takes long time to get the funds.

with that being said, I have 2 follow up questions:

1) Is there a way to speed up this process?

2) is there a way to avoid the $33.00 deposit charges?

I am very new QuickBooks and any piece of information will be very beneficial for me and again:  THANK YOU.

Regards,

David

Hi Community. I can't see transaction at my end of a paid invoice. Yesterday the customer paid by Visa but I can't see any indication foe the payment at my end. Thanks

Thanks for getting back to us, @david224. I'm here to provide further details about handling payment deposits in QuickBooks.

When you're using QuickBooks Payments, deposit speed depends on the type of payment you have. For credit card payments, the processing time will normally take 5-7 banking days. Once payment is already processed, speeding it up isn't an option. You'll have to wait up until the allocated time for it to be deposited in your account.

Based on the payment (12/28/2020) and expected (1/4/2021) dates, I can see that your account is currently following the standard deposit processing time. However, in case you want to deposit customer payments faster, you can upgrade to next-day deposits. This way, you can have the said speed the next time you process payments.

On the other hand, QuickBooks Payments charges a fee each time you process a payment (credit card) transaction. You can learn more about this through this article: What are the fees for QuickBooks Payments?. It also includes details about instant deposit fees and payment plans.

As mentioned above, in case you're unable to receive the funds on the allocated time, I'd recommend contacting our Merchant Services team. They can securely pull up your account and check the payment information needed.

Additionally, I'd recommend checking out this article to learn more about processing credit card payments and deposit speeds: Find out when QuickBooks Payments deposits customer payments. It contains information about deposit schedules and next-day deposits to name a few.

Leave a comment below if you have follow-up concerns regarding customer payments. I'll be around to help. Keep safe always.

Hi Again Rea,

I went over your reply and tried to apply for next day deposit.

It is my understanding that I'm still new to Q/B and need to wait a little more until I'll be eligible for an upgrade to Next Day Deposit.

Is that right?

Please advise.

Thanks

Hello, David.

Good to see you again and a happy new year to you as well.

Yes, that's correct. As mentioned in the article provided by Rea, next-day deposit applications are still subject to eligibility. So, you'll want to wait until you're approved for the feature.

When you're approved and eligible for the next-day deposit feature, here's how to upgrade your schedule:

  1. Click the Gear icon, then select Account and settings.
  2. Go to the Payments tab.
  3. Under the Deposit Speed section, click the Upgrade button.
