Hi katherinejoyce
WOW!!!
Thanks for the VERY detailed reply!
Very educating!
I followed your guidelies, and in fact I should expect the deposit on... 1/4/2021
That is slow.
The payment was done on the 28th and it takes long time to get the funds.
with that being said, I have 2 follow up questions:
1) Is there a way to speed up this process?
2) is there a way to avoid the $33.00 deposit charges?
I am very new QuickBooks and any piece of information will be very beneficial for me and again: THANK YOU.
Regards,
David

Thanks for getting back to us, @david224. I'm here to provide further details about handling payment deposits in QuickBooks.
When you're using QuickBooks Payments, deposit speed depends on the type of payment you have. For credit card payments, the processing time will normally take 5-7 banking days. Once payment is already processed, speeding it up isn't an option. You'll have to wait up until the allocated time for it to be deposited in your account.
Based on the payment (12/28/2020) and expected (1/4/2021) dates, I can see that your account is currently following the standard deposit processing time. However, in case you want to deposit customer payments faster, you can upgrade to next-day deposits. This way, you can have the said speed the next time you process payments.
On the other hand, QuickBooks Payments charges a fee each time you process a payment (credit card) transaction. You can learn more about this through this article: What are the fees for QuickBooks Payments?. It also includes details about instant deposit fees and payment plans.
As mentioned above, in case you're unable to receive the funds on the allocated time, I'd recommend contacting our Merchant Services team. They can securely pull up your account and check the payment information needed.
Additionally, I'd recommend checking out this article to learn more about processing credit card payments and deposit speeds: Find out when QuickBooks Payments deposits customer payments. It contains information about deposit schedules and next-day deposits to name a few.
Leave a comment below if you have follow-up concerns regarding customer payments. I'll be around to help. Keep safe always.
Thanks a lot for the VERY educated and thorough reply Rea.
It looks like I got the information I needed for this point.
Will I ever need further assistance I will not be bashful to ask.
I must commend QuickBook Team for their fast response and professional replies.
I am doing my very first steps with Q/B and I have no other way to say: you showed very warm welcome.
Thank you all and Happy New Year.
David
Hi Again Rea,
I went over your reply and tried to apply for next day deposit.
It is my understanding that I'm still new to Q/B and need to wait a little more until I'll be eligible for an upgrade to Next Day Deposit.
Is that right?
Please advise.
Thanks
David
Hello, David.
Good to see you again and a happy new year to you as well.
Yes, that's correct. As mentioned in the article provided by Rea, next-day deposit applications are still subject to eligibility. So, you'll want to wait until you're approved for the feature.
When you're approved and eligible for the next-day deposit feature, here's how to upgrade your schedule:
For convenience, I'll include the Next-Day deposit article again here: Get paid faster with next-day deposits.
