Were you able to re-invite your contractors using the steps I've shared? If you need more clarification on this process, just let me know. I'll be sure to get back to you.
Thanks for visiting the Community, wishing you continued success!
I was just trying to do this same thing this evening and followed the directions you provided...however there is no option to resend. It says:
[email address removed]
Let's make the Send a reminder link available so you can resend an invite to your contractor, @sjscompanies2021.
If you do not have the option to resend the invite, chances are, the Personal details of your contractor have been completed. The resend email invite will only show if you haven't entered any personal information about the contractor.
If your screen looks like the image below:
Then, you'll need to enter the Personal details of the contractor.
Here's how:
After that, the Send email link will show up, and you can now resend the invite. This way, they can receive a new link.

I sent the email for w9 details. The person did not complete the info, but there is no option to resend the link. What can I do?
The steps provided in this thread don't work on my account,
Hello there, jordanmelograna.
Your contractors can log in to their QuickBooks Self-Employed account and let them use the same login credentials they used to partially fill out their W-9. You can let them follow these steps:
The updates will then automatically sync to your QuickBooks Online account. You can check out this page for more details in handling contractor profile: Fill out a W-9 and view your 1099-MISC in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
Let me know if you have other questions. Take care and have a great day!
None of these solutions for me.
Two of my contractors did NOT make an account and I CANNOT resend them an invitation as it says the invitation is "expired."
For example, I've send an example of the error they're getting.
As I've stated already, I CANNOT resend them an application. Here's what happens when I go to their contractor profile...
Thanks for joining in on the thread and bring this to our attention, usertenova-contact.
We'd recommend contacting our Customer Care Team about this so we can further investigate what is happening. They can pull up your account and provide additional steps so you can send another invitation to your contractors.
Keep us posted so we can assist you more in setting up and sending invitation to your contractors.
I'm in the same boat. I've been on the phone with someone who is having to back and forth between this 'customer care team' and myself. I asked to speak directly to them since each time she asks me a question, it takes 5-10 mins to get an answer then we try another step.. I've been on the phone for 30 mins and have gotten no where. What is going on? It never used to be this hard to file my 1099s through QBO. I'm really frustrated.
I have this same problem. Contractor entered personal details, but did not complete W9. Now the link has expired. How can I resend an invitation to fill out the W9???
Hi there, @audrawalsh.
You can resend an email inviting them to fill out and submit their W-9 information, you'll have to first update their email address in the Vendors tab.
Here's how:
After updating, go to the Contractors tab from the Payroll/Workers menu. Just press the F5 key to refresh the system then send the invitation again.
Once done, they can either log in with an existing Intuit account or create a free one to securely share their tax info. Once they submit their W-9, you can view and download the form in the Documents tab in the Payroll menu.
However, if the above process doesn't work, I'd suggest contacting our Customer Support Team. They have additional tools that can guide you in sending email invitations to your contractors. Just click this article on how to reach them: QuickBooks Online Support.
You can check out this article for future reference about the W-9 form and instructions: About Form W-9, Request for Taxpayer Identification Number and Certification.

I can help you sort this out, @hodanadde.
Let's first make sure to update your contractors email address. Then, resend the invitation by clicking the Send a reminder link from the contractor's page. I can guide you on how to do it.
Change the email address.
Click Save when you're finished.
Now, you can resend the invitation. Here's how:

I am having the exact same problem. I am able to change the email address but when I get to step 4 to resend, that option does not show up on my contractor profile. PLEASE HELP!
What should you do if that "resend invite" does not appear? My contractor is experiencing these same difficulties trying to log in to workforce and can't access it and I can't find a way to send another invite.
I'm here to help, @alyb24.
You will have the option to resend the invitation if the personal details of the contractors have not been completed. Let me guide you on the process:

Thank you. I’ve chatted, called twice and both contractors have also called and chatted many times. Everything has been incredibly unhelpful. It’s very frustrating at this point.
I wish I could make it better, @alyb24.
As of the moment, there isn't an integrated way of sending another reminder letting your contractors enter their personal information.
That said, let's consider deleting the existing profile of your contract and recreating it as a new one so you can send the email for their personal information.
In the same manner, here's an article you can read to learn more about setting up your contractor's profile: Invite a contractor to add their tax info
On top of that, I've also included this reference for a compilation of articles you can use while working with us: Help Articles for QuickBooks Online Payroll.

Did you ever find a fix? I'm having the exact same problem. I can't even try resubmitting their email address because that part of their details is grayed out for me. I can't click on that part. I have all of her details saved which is perhaps why there's no option to send a reminder email. But when I go to the documents tab it says "waiting for info." Nothing for me to click on there. And of course her link to submit info has long expired. I thought about deleting her in the system but the only option is to make her inactive, which I'm guessing would make things complicated if I added a new contractor with her exact same name and info. What's my best plan of action here? Thanks.
Hello there, lsebring.
I can see how important to get this resolved on your end. Since you're unable to resubmit the link to your contractors, I'd still recommend getting in touch with our support team to further investigate this matter. Still, you can follow the steps provided above. Our team support will be able to pull up your account and see what's going on and screen-share with you if necessary.
After looking at your account., they'll let you know the best thing to do in this situation. You may want to check these articles for additional details:
Please let me know how it goes. You can always go back here and post other questions below. Take care and stay safe.
I get no link to chat or talk to someone from help
After reading a whole bunch of posts, NOW i find one that says the feature does not exist.
Why not just PUT THAT ONE at the top.
Thank you for posting here in the Community, @nble.
Allow me to provide additional information about resending an email invitation to your contractors.
When your contractor doesn't receive an email invitation, QuickBooks allows you to resend the invitation. It seems that the option isn't showing on your end, I highly recommend reaching out to our QuickBooks Support Team. This way, they can further check this matter and create an investigation ticket if most of the QuickBooks users are experiencing the same.
To reach them, please follow the steps below:
You can also check out this article for another way of contacting them and its support hours: QuickBooks Online Support.
Just in case you want to learn how to create paper checks to pay your contractors, feel free to read this article for more guidance: Pay a contractor with a paper check.
Keep in touch if you need any more assistance with this, or there's something else I can do for you. I've got your back. Have a good day.
I received an invitation to fill out W-9 and established an intuit account but it says the invite is expired and my employer says he has tried to use the Send a reminder, Go to Workers, Select Contractor name and Send reminder directions, but it no longer permits that function.
