Let me share what I know about Schedule E and rental income, Kobibm13-gmail-c.

You use Schedule E (Form 1040) to report income and loss from rental real estate. You're unable to use this to report rental of personal property unless it's leased with real estate. The income and expenses linked with the rental of personal property are normally reported on Schedule C if the activity is conducted as part of a business. If the rental activity of personal property is not associated with a business, you'll categorize it as Other Income

In cases like this, we suggest reaching out to your accountant on the best way to categorize the transaction.

Once provided by what account to use, you may categorize the transaction in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

You can save, print, and/or email copies of your filed tax forms using Adobe Reader. If you don't own a copy of Adobe Reader, you'll need to obtain a copy before you can accomplish the following steps.

Here's how it's done:

  1. In the top menu bar, go to Employees, then Payroll Center.
  2. Access your File Forms tab, click View/Print forms & W-2s, enter the Payroll PIN, then hit OK.
  3. In your upper-left corner of the Payroll Tax Center window, hit Filed Forms.
  4. Choose which forms you want to save or print.
  5. If you'd like to print your form, use the File option, then Print. In the event you want to save a copy on your computer, press File, Save a Copy, pick a location to save the file, then click Save. If you'd prefer to email your form, hit File, Send, then Page by Email.

When it comes to importing data, you can use CSV, MS Excel, IIF files, or import accountant changes.

I've also included a detailed resource about importing and exporting data which may come in handy moving forward: Import & export data

I'll be here to help if there's any questions. Have an awesome Friday!
