I'd like to offer direct debit payments as an option on QuickBooks Self Employed invoicing - is that possible? If so, how do I accomplish this?

Thanks for reaching out to the Community, cody34.

If you're referring to recurring payments, I can certainly see how such an ability could be useful and have submitted a suggestion about it as of today.

You can also submit your own feature requests while signed in.

Here's how:

  1. Access the Assistant utility.
  2. Click I need help.
  3. In your Type something... text box, enter "Feedback".
  4. Press the Send button.
  5. Choose Add a feature.
  6. Use your text box to create the feature request.
  7. When you're finished, hit Send.
  8. Select Yes.

Your feedback's definitely valuable to Intuit. It will be reviewed by our Product Development team and considered in future updates. You can stay up-to-date with the latest news about your product by reviewing Intuit's Product Updates webpage.

As a workaround, if you decide to, you can switch to QuickBooks Online or start a QuickBooks Desktop subscription. Both plans include the ability to create recurring payments.

I've included a couple detailed resources about working with recurring payments in QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop:

If you're referring to customers making their payments themselves, without them being automatic transactions, you can turn on payments for invoices. This enables customers to pay with debit and credit cards through their online invoices.

Please feel welcome to send a reply if there's any additional questions. Have a wonderful day!
