This is only how to change email preferences. My actual email address got changed under users and not by me. In fact, there is no ability to change the email, so I want to know how this happened. I believe I did contact the care team when I was on hold for an hour today. I could not wait anymore and they told me there was no way for them to call me back, that I would have to call back. After it took me so long to even get someone on the phone.
BEWARE Bill pay is very unsecure. I used Turbo tax to do a friend's taxes and somehow Intuit Bill pay used that information and changed my email in Bill Pay to her email. Now they won't fix it and are telling me I need to add on and pay more for data protection despite the fact that this is not my error at all. This is the Intuit products showing how vulnerable they are. Think about it. Quickbooks online pulled private email from Turbotax and changed it in my Bill Pay. Then an email was sent to this person containing my private info. To tell me I have to pay to fix this is absolutely ridiculous.
We want to make sure you get the best help for this situation, allseasongutter.
Aside from the master admin, the company admin, or standard user with full access can update the email address on your company.
You'll want to run the Audit Log report to see who made these changes.
Here are the steps:
Note: If you see changes made by the "System Administrator" on the Audit Log report, you can rest assured, that we are not changing any data or any information in your QuickBooks Online account.
Here are a few possible reasons why you see a System Administration changes:

You can always get back to me if you have any additional questions. Thanks.
I connected nothing. I made no changes. These were very separate things. I did personal taxes for a friend through Turbo Tax. I absolutely did not connect that in any way to my personal business or my Quickbooks. So how did her email address end up as the email address in my Bill Pay. There is no other way this could have happened. I.e. This is extremely insecure and shows that you have a very serious security problem.
Thanks for getting back in touch and providing further information, @allseasongutter.
To ensure the best solution, did you log into TurboTax with QuickBooks credentials? If so, I recommend signing into CAMPS to update the E-mail address. What this means, you might have registered different products with different emails.
Please go to camps.intuit.com then choose Claim Account. This will let you connect accounts that have different emails. After you claim your account you can sign in to one and see all your products.

Of course not. This was personal taxes for a friend. I used her login information from previous years. Her own personal email, login, username, and password. It had nothing to do with me, but somehow affected my Quickbooks online bill pay. I have no idea what camps is.
Allow me to chime in, @allseasongutter.

I did. It has taken hours only to be told i need to pay more for some kind of data protection despite the fact that is a serious problem on the side of intuit. It's not right that i should have to pay and there is no guarantee that will fix it for an error on the side of intuit
I know that i didn't change it because that capability isn't even available. The email address can't be changed for a user in bill pay so how did this happen? Not to mention that it got changed to an email that quickbooks should have never seen or known because it had nothing to do with it
