Option to add a CC fee when paying with a card? Lots of other systems do this automatically.

I currently add a line item to invoices saying "if paying by check, please disregard fee". Just not very professional

I see the importance of automatically adding the CC fee to your invoices, maytagfxr.

Currently, QuickBooks Online (QBO) doesn't have the feature to automatically include the credit card fee in the customer's invoice. As a workaround, you have to record the charges in the transactions manually by creating a service item for the credit card fee and manually adding it as a line item to your customer's invoice.

While this functionality is unavailable, I suggest submitting this request directly to our product engineers using the feedback. Sharing your features and options is an effective way for our engineers to identify potential enhancements for future updates to our product. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon at the top.
  2. Select Feedback.
  3. Enter your comments or product suggestions.
  4. Then click Next to submit feedback.

You can utilize our QuickBooks Online Feature Requests to monitor your feature requests. For further information, please browse this article: How do I submit feedback?

Moving forward, I would like to provide you with some helpful resources that can assist you in understanding how to accept credit cards in QuickBooks:
