QBO is a step back words. That is the same exact way I felt when we switched.
Can't deduct discounts from bill pay menu have to do it manually.
Can't print a simple bill payment stub
Search engine is basic at best.
More steps to many items such as looking at some ones invoice... you have to move to edit it first?
And how about when a check prints wrong? No way to isolate it for re-printing.
You can still purchase QB Desktop 2024. After June 2024, I believe they will release QB Desktop 2025 Enterprise. They still need to maintain QB Desktop until we can transfer data from QBO to TurboTax directly.
Still no way to calculate early payment discounts within QBO. I wish I would have known this before converting. What an incredible waste of time in the new and "improved" QBO! Why even have the option to input payment terms? Is it possible to revert to QB Desktop?
Hello there, Julie.
I understand that things have been challenging for you with the new improvement of QuickBooks Online. I can also see how important it is to have a way to calculate early payment discounts within the program and the option to input payment terms when paying vendor bills. With this, I'll ensure you can send feedback so your suggestion is forwarded to the Product Development Team.
I encourage you to submit feedback on the ability to have the feature mentioned above. This recommendation is sent to our engineer for consideration in future updates.
Here's how:
Additionally, you can consider creating a vendor credit as a discount and apply it when paying your bills as an alternative. You can refer to this article to see the steps on how to perform the process: Enter vendor credits and refunds in QuickBooks Online.
On the other hand, yes, you can revert to QuickBooks Desktop. You need to ensure that QBDT is still active when you return to it. Then, you can read this article to see the detailed steps on how to transfer your data from QBO to QBDT: Move your QuickBooks Online data to QuickBooks Desktop.

Feel free to post again if you need more help related to managing vendor data in QuickBooks. I'd be delighted to assist you further, Julie. Stay safe!
Is it possible to revert to QB Desktop?
Yes for sure. When did you convert data from QB Desktop to QB Online? Did you still keep the last backup of your QB Desktop file?
"...new improvement of QuickBooks Online" Seriously?
The feed back option is pointless none of these issues have ever been addressed. We have been asking for some of them for years.
@ChristieAnn Given that this feature has been requested and re-requested by numerous people over the past 3 years why would another feature request be beneficial? This is a pretty basic item that obviously many people need. Please ask the development team to stop ignoring requests from clients and their accountants and action some of these! It seems that all their effort goes towards moving things around on our screens that these basic requests fall by the wayside...and it really irritates us. Thanks.
This is from FOUR YEARS AGO and this is still NOT an option in QBO. WHY?
1000% agree!
We at 5 years now?
Lame answer. Basically the new improved QB has less features.
really poor solution
I canceled too. guess ill be looking elsewhere for software.
agree 100%
ANOTHER SERIOUS COMPLAINT HERE ABOUT THE LACK OF THIS FEATURE.
LONG TIME DESKTOP PREMIER USER HERE, AND NOT HAVING THIS FEATURE IN ONLINE IS A TOTAL WASTE OF TIME, AND PISSES US OFF GREATLY.
SERIOUSLY CONSIDERING GOING TO A NEW PLATFORM UNLESS YOU CAN ADD IT BACK.
Start looking for another platform. I have waited years for a number of things and have seen little if zero changes. "Updates" usually only involve layout changes which can make Monday mornings super fun trying to figure out where everything is.
