Let's make sure your Cash Flow dashboard is also updated, DHillConst.

The balance you see on the Cash Flow menu is gets updated automatically once a day. The Banking or Transactions menu processes the data so it's included in your accounting.

You can always click Update in the Banking menu to get the latest available data.

If the client's payment is still not showing, please know that QuickBooks puts the money in your bank account. It uses the bank account you picked when you signed up for QuickBooks Payments.

The time it takes to get the money into your bank account depends on your product and payments plan. Learn more about deposit times for QuickBooks Payments.

Check out this article for additional information: Learn more about QuickBooks Cash accounts and the Cash Flow menu.

Don't hesitate to post again if you need anything else about the client's payment. I'll be around to help you.

That's how it worked before I got QB Cash, which is supposed to be like a bank account.  Prior payments I've received showed there right away, and then I was able to transfer them to my regular business account if I chose to do so.  This one shows as paid and closed for the customer, and  the register says the funds are in QB Cash, but they do not show on the QB Cash dashboard where I can manage the funds.

Let's get back the payment to QB Cash dashboard, DHillConst.

Ideally, it takes 3 business days to move money into your QuickBooks Cash account and show it on your QB Cash Dashboard. I recommend contacting our Merchant Services to check if the payment feed was downloaded to your QB Cash account. They have the tools to pull up their account in a secure environment.

If it was downloaded, you'll also want to call the number at the back of your QuickBooks Debit Card. Our partners at Green Dot will review your account and make sure everything is settled.

I'll share some insights about a payment made that is not showing on your QuickBooks and bank account, @AREAS Interior Design.

Since you're using QuickBooks Online (QBO) Payments, the deposit process is according to the payment method. Payments through bank transfer take 2-7 banking days. The transaction may take longer to process at some banks. It may take 1-2 banking days to process credit card payments.

Also, you can check out this article to know more about the deposit type you have for the payments in QBO: Find out when QuickBooks Payments deposits customer payments.

Deposit times might vary depending on the product and type of payment. Deposit speeds fluctuate between credit card processing and bank transfers. Here's how to figure out how long it takes for QuickBooks Online to process payments:

  1. Go to the Gear icon ⚙ and select Account and Settings.
  2. Select the Payments tab.
  3. Review the Deposit Speed section.

If you have other questions about processing payments, you can refer to these articles:
