Good morning, @shdesign3,
Let's see if we can get the reader working for you. On the reader, you should see a small hole. That's a reset button for the reader. Take a paperclip or a push pin and push into that small hole and make sure you feel it connect. That should reset the reader. Let's see if that turns it on. Then try hitting the button on the side and see if it lights up.
Let me know if that works.

It fixed the problem. Thanks
Awesome! I'm happy to hear that worked!
My card reader is not turning on either. Used it maybe five times total. The reset button is not doing anything. Any more ideas?
Let me help you, @LoganHeating-Air.
I have here some troubleshooting steps to get your card reader back to work.
First, you must be logged in to GoPayment or QuickBooks Online mobile app as an administrator to access the Card Reader settings.
Once done, you can disconnect and reconnect the card reader. If you have the Green GoPayment device, follow the steps below.
For Blue GoPayment:
Once done, you can now turn on the device. Simply press and hold the power button on the side of the card reader until it's green. If you continue to get the same result, update your GoPayment app.
Check out this article for detailed instructions and proceed directly to Solution 4. From there, select the steps for the device you're currently using: Fix issues with the GoPayment and QuickBooks mobile app card reader.
Make sure you have the necessary system requirements. This will ensure the application is compatible with your setup and will help avoid unexpected behavior when using it.
Reach out to me whenever you have other concerns or questions about QuickBooks. I’ll be right here to help further. Have a good one.
The card reader which is brand new and been used a handful of times will NOT TURN ON. The reset button does nothing to correct the issue.
Hey there,@LoganHeating-Air.
