Hi,
When I go to the customer center and highlight a customer, why are there no transactions showing? And the same when I do a Quick report with all dates. Nothing in the report. The customer has MANY transactions associated with it.
???
Thanks,
Rick
I have here some troubleshooting steps to sort this out, @Rick108.
Thanks for reviewing the customer transaction list and reports in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT). I'm here to ensure you're able to see the transactions in QBDT as soon as possible. This way, you can track and review the details.
Missing data happen if your account isn't up-to-date and damaged the company file. To get rid of this problem, make sure that your account is in the latest release (R6). Doing this will give you a better experience and fix unusual issues like missing transactions.
Here's how to check your version and to update:
2. If you're using an old version, go to the Help menu on the upper right side.
3. Click Update QuickBooks Desktop and pick Update Now.
4. Tap Get Updates to start the download.
5. Install the new release when prompted.
Once done, please re-highlight the customer's name and run the quick report to verify if the data are already showing up. If the issue persists, I'd recommend running the Verify and Rebuild tools. This tool can help you resolve the transactions that are missing in the lists.
Here's how:

Hi, you say the latest release is R6 but mine says R15P.
And under "versions used on file" it lists a whole bunch of "R" #'s. The newest one, dated 4/12/21 at the bottom of the list says R15.
In any case, I have my updates on automatic and I think it is always up to date. But I did an update anyway.
Some more information:
The customer:job transactions do NOT show up in these types of transactions:
Journal entries, checks, and paychecks where the name has that customer:job listed. Nor on deposits where the customer:job is listed under "received from"
The transactions DO show up:
Checks where the cust:job is in the "pay to" field.
Journal entries where the cust:job is in the TOP line of the JE. None of the ones in other lines show up.
Oddly enough, the account (such as an income account) shows up on a deposit if no name is entered.
Any other tips to try?
Thanks, Rick

Hello there, @fahec. I'm here to get the assistance you need in viewing your customer's transactions.
If you're using QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), I suggest updating your QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release. It improves the performance of the software and also fixes unusual results automatically.
Here's how to do it:
However, if you're using QuickBooks Online (QBO), please know that there is information that won't move from QBDT since there are limitations on what you can convert and upload to QBO. To learn more about it, check out this link: Learn how features and data move from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online.
Let me know if you have further questions about your customer transactions by leaving a reply below. Have a great rest of the day!
I'm also seeing this problem with QBA 2021. The customer Job Information window shows no Invoice, Sales Receipts or Payment info. Only Checks it any were written to the customer.
I've completed all rebuilds, update etc as I'm fairly well versed in the troubleshooting protocols
