How do I change the address which shows on my invoices?

We can change the address on the invoice page, traceyb.

 

Let me guide you with these steps:

 

  1. Select Invoices on the left pane.
  2. Click the Edit work info hyperlink.
  3. Enter the address.
  4. Click Save.

Thanks for joining the thread, @1Bob4Money. The answer shared by my colleague is for QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE).

 

I can share a few steps to change the address that shows in your invoices (QuickBooks Desktop 2021).

 

Here's how:

 

  1. You can go to the Company menu and then select My Company.
  2. From there, click the Pencil icon on the upper part of the Company Information window.
  3. Change/Enter the Address section and then hit OK to update settings.

 

Then you can verify that the invoice was emailed and read the correct details by the recipient.

 

Just in case you want to review the template in your invoices, you can check the send forms preferences. Make sure that you're in a single-user mode (click the File menu and then select Single-User Mode) and follow these steps:

 

  1. Click Edit at the top menu bar and choose Preferences.
  2. Select Send Forms.
  3. Go to the Company Preferences to choose the invoice template and then click Edit.
  4. Update the company address from there.
  5. Hit Save and then select OK.

When I select Invoices on the left - there is not an option to Edit Work Info.

In QuickBooks Self-Employed, you can customize your invoices right on the form itself. If you'd like to change your address, I'll show you how.

 

  1. Go to the Invoices menu.
  2. Locate the invoice, then click Edit on the drop-down menu under Action.

  4. On the pop-up window, edit the details.

If you want to edit your customer's address, here's how:

  1. Go to the Invoices menu.
  2. Locate the invoice, then click Edit on the drop-down menu under Action.
  3. Select Edit customer info.
  4. On the pop-up window, update the info.

Great, that worked - thanks so much for your reply!!!

Note that this makes absolutely no logical sense to change a global work setting from inside an individual invoice.

Perhaps a recommendation could be made to your product development team to create a global menu to edit work info.

How do I change the address which shows on my invoices?

No matter what I do, my old address (which is now embarrassing) keeps showing up in my new invoices. I've changed the address over and over in "edit work info" link, yet it still puts the old address in there. Nothing in my Quickbooks online settings has my old address! so where does it get that address from? This is very annoying. 

This definitely hurts my business if my clients think I conduct business where I no longer live. I will cancel my subscription if I can't fix this.

How do I change the address which shows on my invoices?

There are two ways to update your company address in QuickBooks Online (QBO), depending on the template you’re using for your invoices, RSCad.

 

If you want to use the Modern template, you can directly edit the company address from within the invoice. Follow these steps:

 

  1. Navigate to your invoice screen.
  2. Click the Manage option.
  3. Under the design options, choose the Modern template.
  4. Under the Invoice address, select the Edit company.
  5. After entering the updated address, click Save.

 

If you're using the Standard design template, you can update the company address through the custom form style. Here’s how:

 

  1. Click the Gear icon  in the top right corner.
  2. Under Your Company, select Custom Form Styles.
  3. Find the invoice style you want to update, then click Edit.
  4. Select the Content tab between the Design and Emails.
  5. Click the pencil () icon to make changes to the company address.
  6. Select Done once the address has been updated.

How do I change the address which shows on my invoices?

Thanks for your help. I'm ok now. 

How I did it was not in QB Self employed, but my intuit account which is the master overall account

under "accounts.intuit.com" and changed my address in the "Business profile" icon. 

 

Thants where QB looks for the address regardless if change it for that one invoice.
