Nice question, paul333333.
I'm here to show you how to export transactions with attached receipts on them.
Here's how:
For additional information about exporting receipts from QBO, check out this article: Export your receipts in QuickBooks Online.
I've included a few detailed resources about managing expenses, matching transactions, and working with QBO that may come in handy moving forward:
Please don't hesitate in sending a reply if there are any follow-up questions while working with receipts in QBO. I'll be here to help. Have a wonderful Friday!
Hi, paul333333.
Hope you’re doing great. I wanted to see how everything is going about exporting all the transactions with receipts. Was it resolved? Do you need any additional help or clarification? If you do, just let me know. I’d be happy to help you at any time.
Looking forward to your reply. Have a pleasant day ahead!
Appreciate the comment above that describes how to export a transaction's receipt individually; however, is there a more efficient way to export receipts in bulk? If I have 100s of transactions, I would like to export them in a batch.
Thanks for commenting on this thread, Leah.
I see that exporting transactions with attachments in batches will speed up work. However, we have no other options, but only what Charies_M provided. If exporting transactions is your regular routine for some reason, you can look for a third-party app that offers this service for QuickBooks.
On the other hand, if you want to search for articles or references about QuickBooks Online, just go to the QuickBooks Support page. Then, select the said product and click More topics.
Please comment below if you have other questions about exporting transactions or any topics in QuickBooks. Take care always!
Seriously considering leaving Quickbooks.
Basic functionality like exporting all receipts in bulk missing mean the whole point of uploading a Receipt to the system using the phone app is almost pointless.
Afaik, this feature is not yet available in other cloud-based accounting apps. We have to use an additional tool to extract attachment data in bulk.
QB is the worst. I paid for 3 months of bookkeeping and they messed up my books (I'm still cleaning up after them) and they never processed the refund. The functionality is beyond garbage - it's like the designers have never actually done independent accounting before. Even the professional/certified accountants I've worked with can't wrap their heads around it!
Looks like they added this feature recently: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/help-article/item-receipts/export-receipts-quickbo...
Yea, however. This functionality is exporting the receipts, separately from the transactions.
That would be two separate exports and time wasted matching them all up again, out of QB.
Close though, yet, not quite what's needed.
The feature is only partially what's being requested.
This is a bulk receipt export, separate from the transaction export function.
There needs to be exporting functionality that will allow the expense and credit card transactions along with their matching receipts, to be exported together, quick, plain and simple.
Seriously?! I was just about to import PDFs and images for 2022 transactions. If I can't export them in bulk, what's the point? QBO is horrible and I'm in the process of leaving.
You can purchase a 3rd party service to convert QBD with attachments to QBO or other accounting apps.
Am I supposed to be happy that a public company with $1.5 billion in cash would make me pay for such a ridiculously simple feature that should be part of the product?
Still no suggestions from Quickbooks on how to solve this very very simple problem?
They have enough money to do this indeed.
Sad product failure. Batch Receipt Printing with a filter and expenditure data is the point of a digital accounting book. Kind of silly.
Any suggestion on better platforms?
Nope, moved on. I’ll probably get moderated if I say it, but it rhymes with hoho. It’s quite good.
what else does it rhyme with lol whats the first letter?
