Allow me to provide you some information on why the email link does not show up on the Contractors page, dedmonds.
When you add a contractor to QuickBooks Online (QBO), they'll receive an invitation to add their own details. Your contractors will get their free version of QuickBooks Self-Employed to access their information and view 1099s online.
Your employee can only fill their W-9 once. They'll need to sign in and send the existing W-9 if they get another invite from someone else. If they need to edit their W-9, they can change it before their employer or client submits the 1099-MISC to the IRS:
For more information, your contractor can refer to this article: Fill out a W-9 and view your 1099-MISC in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

So when you manually add a contractors W9 info into the contractors page quickbooks automatically sends them a link anyway?
To further clarify my question. We added all of our contractors manually a year or two ago without adding email addresses. We are now adding email addresses because we want to send a link (first time that we’re aware of) to the contractors to have them update W9’s (really wanted to create pdf copies also with 2021 date). System doesn’t have a “send email” link available with these manually entered contractors that we are just now getting email addresses. Do they have a link that we can manually email them so they can get access to their W9’s with us for the first time?
Thank for checking in with us, dedmonds.
We’ll be sending your contractor an email inviting them to fill out and submit their W-9 info. Let's make sure we send them an invite to do this. Here's how:
For additional steps about how to add contractors, see How to set up contractors and track them for 1099s in QuickBooks article. They’ll either log in with an existing Intuit account if they have one or create a free account to securely share their tax info with you. For more details about this one, see the Invite a contractor to add their own tax info article.
