I’m happy to assist you with creating an estimate where each line item can show a discount. QuickBooks does have the capability to assign discount per line item in sales forms.
Below are the steps:
First, you’ll need to enable the line level.
Second, to use the line level on and estimate, do the following below.
I’m providing a detailed article about apply line items discounts on an estimate:

I am using Online Advanced edition as a trial (moving from Enterprise) because I need the 'Item-wise" line level discounts. The setting for discount is there but that only discounts on the order total, not the item. There is no setting for the Item-Wise line level discount showing in my settings and that's what I need. Is it because I'm using the trial. I want to know if this works as needed on imports and exports before I move over permanently.
Thanks for coming back. Providing the best experience with the product is what we aim for, Tpeluso.

Hi which version of Quickbooks will allow for the option to set up the discount per line item?
Let me share some info about this, @Suhayra Dollie.
Currently, the option to set up a discount per line item is not available in all QuickBooks Online versions. For now, you can follow the workaround shared by my colleague RCV on how to create a new product item and add the discount to the transactions.
I can see how these additional options and functionality would be helpful for both you and your business and I encourage you to submit feedback. These requests and suggestions are forwarded directly to our Product Development Team for consideration in future updates.
You can submit this within your QBO account by selecting the Gear icon and Feedback or by going to the following link: QuickBooks Online Feature Requests.
Also, I'd encourage you to visit this article about handling customer transactions and personalizing sales forms:
