Invoices not appearing in Income Tracker?

I'm having a somewhat worrying issue. I really enjoy using the Income Tracker to keep track of the status of our invoices, but recently I've realized that it's not showing me all of the Open Invoices I've sent?

 

I have one customer account that I was expecting a payment from, it's now a few days overdue, and I was just going to check the Income Tracker for details, but it doesn't show up! When I run a report or check the Customer page, it's there and unpaid..

 

Is there some reason that it wouldn't appear? Some setting somewhere? I've ran a rebuild already to see if that fixed it, and it didn't. 

 

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! I love the Income Tracker but it needs to be reliable or else it's not worth it.

Invoices not appearing in Income Tracker?

Thanks for reaching out and doing those troubleshooting steps, @hsdkimberly.

 

Let's run your Company File through QuickBooks File Doctor to make sure we can get this resolved. Check it out:

 

  1. Close QuickBooks.
  2. Download the QuickBooks Tool Hub file. Save the file somewhere you can easily find it (like your Downloads folder or your Windows desktop).
  3. Open the file you downloaded (QuickBooksToolHub.exe).
  4. Follow the on-screen steps to install and agree to the terms and conditions.
  5. When the install finishes, double-click the icon on your Windows desktop to open the tool hub. If you can't find the icon, do a search in Windows for QuickBooks Tool Hub and select the program.
  6. From the tool hub, go to the Company File Issues tab.
  7. Click Run QuickBooks File Doctor. It can take up to one minute for the file doctor to open.
  8. In QuickBooks File Doctor, select your company file from the drop-down menu. If you don’t see your file, use Browse and search to find your file.
  9. Hit Check your file (middle option only) and then Continue.
  10. Enter your QuickBooks admin password and then Next.

 

The scan time depends on your file size. In most cases, it can take up to 5 minutes. Once the scan finishes, open QuickBooks and your company file. Your issue may have been resolved even if the scan says it was unsuccessful.

 

If you still run into this issue in the future, I recommend contacting our support team. They'll be able to share your screen and check out what may be causing the issue in-depth.

Evidently it's related to a software issue. The hope is that when we upgrade to the 2020 version it will be remedied.

I have this same issue.  I like to use income tracker to make sure all of the invoices have been emailed out.  For some reason not all of them are showing up in the tracker and some have been missed.

I've checked in our system and it has been reported and our engineers are already looking into a permanent fix about the income tracker not showing all the invoices. While they do, you'll want to use reports to view all open invoices. 

 

Let me show you how: 

 

  1. Open your company file.
  2. From the Reports menu, choose Customers and Receivables
  3. Click Open Invoices

You can also customize the report to get the data you'll need.

Invoices not appearing in Income Tracker?

It's April of 2022 and I'm having this issue. I tried contacting support via chat twice, but each time they ended the chat session and left. I don't know why. I've rebuilt the data file several times but the Income Tracker just doesn't want to show some invoices. Is this still a known software bug?

I still have the same issue. We have to go thumb back through each one to catch ones that haven't been emailed. I always find ones that were not emailed even though income tracker shows them all with email dates. Not sure why some still do not show up. We do verify rebuild pretty often.

Upon checking here on my end, our engineering team is currently working on fixing the issue of the income tracker not being visible in the invoice.

 

Rest assured they are working diligently for an indefinite fix. In the meantime, you can consider the workaround shared by colleague Catherine_B above.

 

Furthermore, I highly recommend contacting our support team. This way, you'll be added to the list of affected users and be notified via email of any updates.

Carefully check the date on the invoice.  I had inadvertently created an invoice with an invoice date that was over a year ago and it was not showing in the income tracker.  I went in and edited the invoice date and it Immediately showed up.

I'm here to share some information about saving an invoice.

 

When you entered an invoice with a past date, the system will not recognize it as income on the recent year. Thus, it will not show up on the list.

 

Also, if you want to send online so your customers can pay them online, you can check this links: Take and process payments online.

Invoices not appearing in Income Tracker?

I just found this problem today - I am using Desktop Pro 2021

An invoice was not showing up on Income tracker - I inspected the invoice and noticed it had Email Later Checked - I unchecked it and the invoice showed up on income tracker. I thought the problem was solved, did some other transactions and then checked back to Income checker and the invoice had disappeared again.

What is the status of the software solution, mentioned earlier? Accounting is not a part of my business that I relish and I need to be able to count on Quickbooks being accurate.

I appreciate you providing the troubleshooting steps done to resolve the issue about invoices not showing on the income tracker. Right now, it's currently an issue we are investigating. In the meantime, to view the open invoices, I recommend using the reports in QuickBooks.

 

Here's how:

  1. On your QuickBooks Desktop account, go to the Reports menu at the top.
  2. Select Customers and Receivables.
  3. Click Open Invoices.

 

While our Product engineers are working on a fix, I recommend reaching out to our Customer Care Team so they can add you to the list of affected users. From there, you'll receive a notification on your email address registered on the account once this issue gets resolved.

  1. On your QuickBooks Desktop, go to the Help menu at the top.
  2. Select QuickBooks Desktop Help
  3. Type Contact Us in the search box. Then, click on Contact Us at the bottom. 
  4. Select the way you wish to connect with support.

I'll offer different viewpoints on how to view income reports in QuickBooks Desktop, @FatFish22.

 

I recommend running Customers and Receivable since this report can track your daily sales and collectibles. Kindly follow the instruction below:

 

  1. Open your company file, then navigate to the Reports tab.
  2. Next, choose the Customer and Receivable report.
  3. Lastly, customize or find the open invoices within the file.

WHY can't we get resolution on this problem with income tracker? Running a report does not fix the problem nor does it allow us to print all the invoices to a pdf file, which we need for our biggest customer.... this has gone on since 2020... wtf is the problem? it would also be nice to have a filter or search box in this program as we are dealing with thousands of invoices. I would like a level 3 programmer to call me at [phone number removed] asap.

Our phone support has the capability to check on your company file to determine the root cause. Also, they have the option such as screen-sharing to let them see what's on your end and re-investigate the issue. You can follow the steps below to get in touch with them:

 

  1. From your QuickBooks Desktop account, click the Help menu at the top.
  2. Click the QuickBooks Desktop Help menu and select Contact Us.
  3. Provide some information about this concern in the search box, then select Continue.
  4. Sign in to your Intuit account and tap Continue. Afterward, select Continue with my account.
  5. Please enter the code that will be sent to your via email and select Continue.
  6. From there, select how you want to connect with us. It’s either to chat with us or Have us call you.

 

Concerning the suggestions you mentioned about the search box for invoices. I also advise you to mention this while on the phone with our support to take note of.
