I am also having the same issue. My check information is printing printing to High on the checks and I’m not sure where to adjust the settings so they align correctly on my payroll checks any suggestions?
I am using an Apple desktop would that make a difference?
I'd like to share some troubleshooting steps to isolate the printing issue in QuickBooks, @NMG5.
We have different steps for fixing the check alignment in QuickBooks Desktop for Mac. Happy to provide the complete instructions to ensure you can print the checks accurately.
Let's adjust the alignment of the text on a form. Do the following:
Let's configure other settings in your QuickBooks preferences if the issue persists. Proceed with the following steps:
4. Close the preferences tab.
After that, I'd suggest creating a sample check to verify if it's performing well. Once done, heed the instructions below:
If the alignment is still off, I'd suggest downloading the QuickBooks Tool Hub. You can follow Tori's steps on this thread to do this.

I have read multiple complaints about the addresses not lining up for window envelopes so to say they haven't received this complaint is completely false and aggravating many of us. The addresses print correctly in quickbooks online payroll but not in regular quickbooks online. Therefor they have the capacity to format the names and addresses lower and have not done so regardless of how many of us ask. Another forum on here stated to complain to customer support so that someday we can get this solved. I followed the directions to complain and they didn't work. So Ithink we all need to post about this on a regular basis
I'm also having issues when trying to print payroll checks on blank stock paper. I've spoke with QB support and they cant figure it out. It all started when QB changer the format/layout when running payroll. QB told me they no longer support printing on blank check stock paper. I believe they now want us to purchase their check paper.

I've had the issue. After spending a ton of time getting the alignment to work, things were great for about 4 months. Lately, QB keeps changing the format of how I view checks (PDF, browser, Adobe) It has changed so much I have a log jam of post it notes to help it fit (whether, fit to print, shrink to fit, default, or no scale or whatever) - it's a major pain the A$% no printing checks that align...
We too have the same issue, we were forced to update to QB online earlier this year. From the start our payroll checks don't print correctly after several alignments. Any other check we print is fine. Did you find a solution? How can we fix the issue
