Quarterly Income Tax

We recently switched from QBD to QBO - biggest headache and horrible decision!

Anyhow, in QBDesktop I was able to pull a Withholding Quarterly Tax form with all the payment information pulled from QuickBooks populated, so I could quickly and easily file online by popping in the numbers given on the form. I can't find this in QBO - is there somewhere to access these populated forms? If not, how do I get the information needed to complete the WH 1605?

Thank you.

Melissa

I understand your annoyance. @MelissaC.

QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online have different features. The features of QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online differ. No worries, I'm here to assist you in pulling a report that will populate all of the tax payment information pulled from QuickBooks. This way, you can file your taxes quickly.

You can run the Sales Tax Liability report to get a detailed look at the taxes you owe and why you owe them. This helps you ensure everything is accurate before you file your return to your tax agency.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Taxes tab on the left side.
  2. Click the Reports drop-down arrow located on the right pane.
  3. Choose Tax liability report.
  4. Pick the appropriate Report period and Tax agency in the box.
  5. Hit Run report

For more details, see this link: Check how much sales tax you owe in QuickBooks Online.

You can also click Save Customization to memorize the report. This will help you save time since it automatically updates every time there are newly added transactions.

Hello, MelissaC.

Thanks for getting back to us. Allow me to hop in and help access your tax forms in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

You can view your Withholding Quarterly Tax form by going to the Payroll Tax tab. The steps to do this are pretty quick and easy. Here's how:

  1. In QBO, go to the Taxes menu on the left pane.
  2. Proceed to the Payroll Tax tab.
  3. Click the Filings tab.
  4. Scroll down to locate your Withholding Quarterly Tax form.

For more information about managing and viewing payroll tax forms, consider checking out this article: Access payroll tax forms and tax payments.

You also have the option to file your payroll taxes in QBO. You can refer to this article for further guidance: Pay and file payroll taxes and forms in Online Payroll.

For more tips and other resources you can use in the future, I recommend visiting our website for future reference: Self-help articles.

Please post again or comment in this thread if you have additional questions about payroll or anything else QuickBooks. I'll be happy to answer them. Stay safe.
