Hi there, @andrew-desumma-g.

 

I'm here to help you delete your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) account. 

 

I'd recommend canceling the subscription to stop the billing. Then after a year, your QBSE account will automatically be deleted completely. This process was implemented so you can still have read-only access. This way, you can print forms and reports that you might need in the future.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Settings ⚙ button located in the upper right.
  2. Select Billing Info, under About you. 
  3. Choose Cancel now, then enter your feedback when prompted.
  4. Hit Cancel subscription

 

 

Once done, we will send the account administrator an email that confirms we canceled your subscription. You can use this article for a detailed guide about the process: Cancel your subscription.

I have done the process to delete several times I want it done today and I need my account refund !   I have never dealt with such a mess in my life this is ridiculous    My account has been charged twice the last 5 months and I have tried to cancel numerous times fix it today

Andrew, the given steps will only cancel your quickbooks self employed subscription. if you want to delete your intuit account, you need to contact the reps.

how do I "contact the reps" in order to entirely close/cancel/delete the intuit account.  I have already closed the MINT account.

Would appreciate the assistance.

Here's how: 

 

  1. Log in to your QBSE account on a web browser. 
  2. Select the Assistant menu, then type in Talk to a human.
  3. Select your preferred support method: Message an agent (Live chat), Call an agent or Get a callback.

 

Please know that our support is available from Monday-Friday 6 AM to 6 PM and Saturday 6 AM to 3 PM Pacific Time.

I don't have a QBSE account.  Never have.  I did have a MINT account...which I requested to have deleted.  And it is delete.  So I have nothing to log into except my (parent) INTUIT account.  It has no option anywhere that I can see that says ASSISTANT.

 

Please point me in a different direction.  You suggest I can contact support...Monday-Friday 6 AM to 6 PM and Saturday 6 AM to 3 PM Pacific Time.   I will try that if you cannot further help me.

I need to cancel this account [email address removed]

It was an old training account that we no longer use. It is now getting billed for QB Payroll. We need to cancel the account, delete, etc. Refunds would be nice as well. When we try and process the cancellation, we get this:

 

Unable to process your request at this time. Please sign out and try again later. If the issue persists, please contact support and reference this message. (Error code: ARC-10001, type: VALIDATION_ERROR)

As much as we would like your continued patronage, we respect your decision to defer your subscription with us, @dkward,

If you were recently billed for the subscription, I recommend contacting our Support first. They are the ones who can check your account and can discuss your billing details and refund agreements. For security purposes, this forum cannot assist account-related concerns like billing. Here's how to contact them: 

 

  1. Go to the Help menu then choose the Search tab.
  2. At the bottom click on Contact us.
  3. Enter the keyword Account Management and Billing in the What can we help you with? box.
  4. On the next screen, scroll down to How would you like to connect with us section.
  5. Choose Chat with us to initiate a discussion with a live agent.
  6. Enter you account contact information then press Get a chat.

 

Before the cancellation, make sure you already filed the forms available in QuickBooks. You may check the following Community guide to know which forms you can file at the moment:

 

 

For annual forms that are not yet released, you can file them later by reactivating your account. Use the steps in this article for more information: How to resubscribe or reactivate QuickBooks Online

 

After you cancel your subscription with us, you'll have read-only access to the your QBO for a year, and six months for payroll data. Before cancelling, make sure that you have done the following:

 

  • Printed necessary financial and payroll forms and reports you might need in the future.
  • Paid any outstanding tax deposits and filed tax forms.
  • Make your own arrangements to retain the data after that time.

 

To print reports:

 

  1. Go to the Reports menu and select the report you want to print or export.
  2. Find the report you want to save a copy for, then click to open it.
  3. Make sure to select the correct dates before running it.
  4. When the data is correct, click the Print or Export icons.

Terminating an account can also be done within your QuickBooks Online company file. Follow the steps below for accounts that are not yet renewed:

 

  1. Sign in to your QBO account, then tap the Gear icon at the top right portion of your Dashboard.
  2. Go to Account and Settings, and select Billing & Subscription.
  3. Locate the payroll subscription and then press Cancel or Cancel Trial.
  4. Hit Continue to Cancel twice.
  5. Lastly, answer the short survey and select Continue to Cancel.

Please note that once your subscription has been canceled successfully, your entire data will be deleted automatically after a year. Please follow these steps on how to cancel it:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Account and Settings.
  2. From the Billing info section, select Cancel subscription or Cancel Trial.
  3. Follow the onscreen steps.

I know a way to delete your account, Andrina1125.

 

Before proceeding, please know that once you delete your account in QuickBooks Self-Employed, your information will be deleted permanently and will not be recoverable.

 

To complete the process, see the steps below:

 

  1. Login to your QuickBooks Self-Employed account.
  2. Select the Gear icon, then Intuit Account.
  3. Go to Data & Privacy, then choose the Delete your data button.

 

You can also remove the account from the list by changing the User ID to a dummy email address.
