Desktop pro plus

I purchased desktop pro plus 2022 last year after having desktop 2017 since 2017. Today I tried to gain access to my account, last log in was just 7-10 days ago, an I am being told that my subscription has ended! I decided to call and speak with QB support and was told that I would need to Re-purchase another year for $500 in order to gain access to our company files and use QB again. Did I miss something? I thought that once purchased you use it as you wish and the “subscriptions” fell off as they fall off. Subscriptions meaning; payroll, online banking transfers, etc. HELP!! I need access to my files and I am not switching to online!

Welcome to QuickBooks Community, Bcabshire4354.

I'll ensure you'll get the information about gaining access to your QuickBooks Desktop company files.

You didn't miss anything. I understand how important to access your data within your company file. However, since you're using QuickBooks Desktop Pro Plus, you would need to repurchase a new subscription to re-open your company files and be able to use them again, as advised by our QuickBooks Desktop Support Team.

I'm leaving these articles for additional reference about cancelation policies and QBDT services:

If you need anything else with QuickBooks Desktop, don't hesitate to add another post. I'll be around to help in any way that I can.

So QB doesn’t offer the desktop program like the used to? The program where you purchased and downloaded it to you PC and the “extras” just fell off but you were still able to use your files as normal?

I appreciate your dedication to using QuickBooks Desktop, @shire. I'll share more information about what services you'll be unable to use after your QuickBooks Desktop plan expires.

If you're using a monthly or quarterly plan, your service will be terminated at the next auto-renewal date. This means your account is no longer able to use the online services linked to the plan and subscription. This includes your access to payroll, online banking transfers, assisted support, and data recovery services.

Kindly use and read this article to learn more about what happens after a subscription expires: QuickBooks Desktop Cancelation Policies.

You'll want to consider repurchasing a subscription. For the complete process, check out this guide: Manage your QuickBooks Desktop subscriptions and services.

@Bcabshire4354

You can use the trial version for QBD 2022 or 2023 to open your files for 30 days and will have more time to consider your options later.

Hello, I have a copy of QB Desktop Pro Plus 2021 on my computer to run all of our accounts.  Why am I receiving an email from Quicken notifying me my Annual Subscription Fee will be due by Apr 7, 2023??  Any thoughts or remedies you can share.

Thanks In Advance,

Hello there, CB0071. I appreciate you joining this thread.

The reason why you're receiving an email from Quicken is that you currently have an existing subscription. To check, you can visit the Customer Account Management Portal Site (CAMPS) to verify your company’s subscription and manage registered accounts.

To guide you further, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to camps.intuit.com
  2. Sign in with your Intuit Account info. This could be different from what you use to sign in to your company file.
  3. If you see multiple products to choose from, select Quicken.

Also, you can contact Quicken Support to get more details about the email you've got.

You'll want to check out these articles for more information about QBDT. Each of them provides information about managing licenses and product numbers.

Please feel free to reach out to us here in the Community if you have other questions about QuickBooks. I’m always here to help.

Hello there, dcmuller.

Yes, you can still be able to buy QuickBooks Desktop Pro Plus. There are several ways how to purchase QuickBooks, you can buy the subscription directly to Intuit or in-store retail. I'll provide updated insights on how subscription works in QBDT and ensure you'll be routed to the right team to assist you in purchasing the program you want.

Please know that we are no longer provide a one-time license for QuickBooks Desktop. Instead, it implemented a subscription-based model. That said, the latest and supported versions are available through an annual subscription.

Furthermore, QuickBooks Enterprise is the only option on our website when ordering software. However, you can still purchase QBDT Pro Plus until July 31, 2024. I recommend contacting our Sales Support Team, as they're the best support group for such inquiries as they can request account information. This way, you may ask and get assistance with purchasing the version you want on an annual basis.

After purchasing the product, you can find instructions on downloading, installing, and activating QuickBooks Desktop in the Downloads & Updates section.

In case you need to view what features are included in the QBDT 2024 release and how you can use them to benefit your business, you can read this article: What’s new in QuickBooks Desktop 2024.

You can drop a comment below if you have additional questions or concerns about QuickBooks Desktop products. I’m more than happy to answer them for you, dcmuller. Stay safe.
