I can help you connect your account to QBO, markcrider.
When connecting a Capital One account for the first time, you'll be asked to log in to the bank's website. From there, link your account to QBO to establish a connection in the Banking section.
If you clicked Continue and the link to your bank's website doesn't work, kindly copy the site's URL and open it separately in your browser. The supported browsers are Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, and Safari.
Then, log in to your bank account's website, link it to QBO, go back to QBO, and then connect Capital One again. If the same thing happens, we can try some browser troubleshooting steps.
Here's how:
Please keep me posted if you're able to connect your account. I'll be around if you have questions.

thanks for the info however i do not see how to link my bank account to QB in more options at capital one.

or does this feature only work with your online system? I have the desktop version.

Let's get your Capital One account connected into QuickBooks, Peter.
If you're using the QuickBooks Online app desktop version, we can connect your bank through one for our supported browsers. You can use Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, or Safari. From there, access your QBO account and then go to the Banking page and click Add account.
However, if you're subscribed to our QuickBooks Desktop, our engineers are investigating the issue. I suggest getting in touch with us so our phone support agents can add your account to the notification list.
If you have further questions, please let me know.
My Capital One account has multiple credit cards in it. We opened a 4th which we will intentionally move all purchases for the non-profit we have QB Online for, so it will be simpler. But right now, we have two cards of the prior 3, that we want to get transactions off of ... after doing so, we want to only use the one ....
When I added the capital one account as a Credit Card, it did not let me distinquish between different credit cards. Do I need to do that in the transaction clearing? I was hoping that it would ask me which cards do I want to use and not use for accounting transactions.
I'm going to provide details on how to connect the accounts to Online Banking, AgThorn.
You're unable to distinguish between different cards if you connect the parent account.
Before we connect any accounts, we have to know how your bank sends the downloaded transactions. If they're downloaded to one account, you'll have to connect the parent account only (Capital One). If they're downloaded to the individual credit card accounts, you'll have to connect the sub-accounts and not the parent.
For more information, you can refer to this article: About bank or credit card subaccount setup.

Just click "Continue" anyway, and it will open a pop-up to connect to CapitalOne.
I'm not sure if something changed since these other answers were posted, but the solution is much simpler than they make it sound. The prompt Mint gives you saying "go to the bank site to connect your accounts" is really misleading. It makes it sound like you need to go to your bank/credit account and do something, but if you just click "continue" it will do that for you.
Most if the info in this thread is so effing old its useless….
1. Sign in to your QBO account and Go to Banking.
2. On the upper right side and click Link Account.
3. Select Upload from File
4. Follow the prompts
It appears that Capital One is not offering links for credit card accounts.
You have clicked a link to a site outside of the QuickBooks or ProFile Communities. By clicking "Continue", you will leave the community and be taken to that site instead.
