Hi magmarisesllc-gm,
Hope you’re doing great. I wanted to see how everything is going about your concern on how to report a phishing email incident. Was it resolved? Do you need any additional help or clarification? If you do, just let me know. I’d be happy to help you at anytime.
Looking forward to your reply. Have a pleasant day ahead!
Please note that the chat agent I spoke to about a phishing email gave out an obsolete email address for reporting the issue. They gave "[email address removed]." Which is also found on Intuit's website after a search for reporting spam.
I need help someone has got in my email and is filing under my name
Thanks for joining this conversation, @1502QuiQui.
As much as I would love to take care of this, we're unable to pull up your account here in the Community space for the security of your account. That said, I highly suggest contacting our Support team. They have tools that can pull up your account in a secure environment and investigate this further.

I have reported several phishing emails from Intuit.com and have reported them as they directed and they haven't done anything about it as I keep receiving them also. In situations like this where companies like Intuit have actively participated in banking practices such as offering loans and handling credit card information they are likely required by law to proactively hand abuse issues like phishing like most banks I deal with. As such use also a whois service and look up the abuse contact. In this situation it's not the [email address removed] contact they ask you to send these emails to but [email address removed]. That's actually the legal precedent over what their site may say and they should be required to forward from the whois abuse contact that can be looked up automatically to any other emails accounts they want to use without someone having to read stuff on their web site which may have a bunch of legal bologna that technically won't stand up in court. I think that's probably the same incompetent smuck I've dealt with who illegally didn't handle stuff with Facebook but maybe not. If you report these emails like I do and you keep getting phishing emails contact your representatives and consider hiring an attorney since Intuit is not just any site out there but one that actively handles banking information. That was a decision they made to not just sell accounting software and they must be held to the same standards regarding legally handling all abuse issues sent to them and not just the ones they want to handle while ignoring others. That's my two cents.
Nearly all other sites have a "[email address removed]" or "[email address removed]" or similar. You simply forward the bogus email to that address.
Having to log into their site, and click through multiple screens is ridiculous. You'd think Intuit would want to jump on this immediately...but I guess not. Sad.
I totally agree with djshannon! I don't want to have to log-on. I want to be able to report the phishing as I do with all other businesses, forward the phishing email. I will just delete the email and it won't be reported. Such a shame.

What is the email address? When I click on the box, Windows wants to use an email. I'd rather send it directly from my email address.
Your whole attitude about reporting phishing and scam emails is WRONG!!!!!! There should be an email address that one can forward the email to. I've been getting at least one a week from people telling me my order is on the way from Amazon and they are using Intuit QB. So why can I report to Amazon and NOT Intuit??????
Your security is our top priority, @JSRS.
As my colleague mentioned above, we have a website where you can report phishing emails and other security issues.
Here's how:
In case you receive Intuit email you aren't sure about, please see our security notices for details of suspicious emails reported by other customers.
Additionally, I've included these articles on how to protect your account and how we keep your data secure:
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I'm always around to lend a hand. Take care!
Yeah, right. This opens the Windows app for email, which I don't have set up. I refuse to do this. Every other banking and service institute will provide an email address, like phish@ or spoof@, but you won't?
Hi, FatherGoose.
For security purposes, we are unable to provide an email and we'll send and update regarding your report upon request.
Also, report fake email can be set up to google, micro-soft, office 365, yahoo, etc. as an option.
Additionally, if you receive an email message that you believe is from Intuit, you can verify its identity by looking at the email address used.
Please refer to this list:
You'll want to also forward any suspicious email or person directly to Intuit at [email address removed]. For more details about it, check out the article: Is this email I received a legitimate communication from Intuit?
Please check this article to see the latest information from Intuit on how we protect your data and how you can protect yourself from email scams and other security risks: Recognize and report suspicious emails (Phishing).
Don't hesitate to post again if you have other questions related to QuickBooks. I'm always here to help.
Well, the response on this thread containing several email addresses at Intuit to compare and another to report spam to has had all the email addresses redacted.
Well, I guess Intuit really doesn't want these. Every bank and company I deal with has an official email address to forward suspicious emails. I don't understand why it's such a "security" issue with Intuit. BTW - I use Outlook at work, and all the flagging does is flag an email as suspicious. It doesn't send it anywhere. You really have more of a "security" problem than Wells Fargo, USAA, Amazon, PayPal, eBay? I guess your servers aren't very "secure." I wonder then how "secure" my information is with Intuit. Maybe it's time to bail out of TurboTax after almost 20 years.
The links on your website - security.intuit.com to "report a fake email" and "report tech support scams" do not work. All the other links, "privacy question", "credit karma", etc., work fine and moves you forward to the next page. But I can't get the fake email or tech support scams links to do anything. On the Edge browser, the links take me to a Google page and absolutely nothing happens at all using the Chrome brower. Any suggestions?.
Hey there, nhtxctr.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I want to make sure you're able to report any fake emails you've received claiming to be Intuit.
If the links aren't working or loading to the next page, I recommend clearing the browser cache as an initial troubleshooting step. The cache is in place to store frequently used data to make loading web pages quicker and easier. If it becomes too full it can potentially cause certain viewing and performance errors.
The following linked article provides the steps to clear your cache depending on the browser you're using: Clear cache and cookies to fix issues
Give this a try and then try selecting the links once more to report the scam emails. I'm only a comment or post away if you have any other questions.
Your step 3, when clicked on, doesn't do anything. If I log in first, that contact option is not available.

I appreciate you for getting back to us, @YDP Norma. I’ll chime in and help you sort out this issue with QuickBooks Self-Employed.
There are times when an issue like this occurs when we encounter a browser-related issue. We can fix this by running some basic troubleshooting steps.
I suggest performing the steps through a private window. It's the best place to check for browser-related issues while working with QuickBooks. To save you time, use either of these keyboard shortcuts:
If it works fine, you can go back to your original browser and clear its cache to start fresh. You can also use another supported and up-to-date browser to narrow down the results.
Just in case you're still getting the same issue, you can reach out to our Contact Support Team. They have the tools to pull up your account in a secure environment and will provide assistance with your concern.
I'll be around if you need further assistance with QBSE. I'm very eager to help. Take care!
I'm confused by your instructions on keystrokes. When and where

do I use these keystrokes? My Edge was just updated this last weekend (May 13-14.) My QBF is Desktop Pro 2021
Thank you for giving us updates on how it works on your end, @YDP Norma.
I understand you want to report a phishing email but having issues following the steps provided above. I'm here to help you proceed with the report.
You mentioned that the third step to report provided is not working on your end. I appreciate you following the steps. Since you're still unable to do it even if your Edge browser is recently updated, may I request more details? A screenshot of what happens when you click on it would be very much appreciated for me to deliver an appropriate solution.

I attempted to report the following fake email supposedly sent from Intuit E-Commerce Service <[email address removed] in the method suggested, but the link is not working. I have also reported this issue to Norton. The phone number listed is disconnected. Please advise if I need to do anything additional.

Forward the phishing/scam emails to:

Since this blog redacts email addresses you will need to replace the AT with an @ and DOT with a . for the actual email address to use.
