I need help please. I have QuickBooks app on my iPhone. I have listed many expenses and deposits there, but I do not see them appearing when I sign in at QuickBooks online.
Hello, DMW,
That's an unusual behavior. The QuickBooks Online mobile app is always in sync with QB Online on the web. If you entered expenses and deposits in the the app, it shows on the web, and vice versa.
Have you tried checking if you're logged in to the correct account? You might have logged in to a different one which doesn't have your data.
However, if you're logged in to the correct account, please let me know. Thanks in advance for your time.
Good day, DMW.
I'm here to help you with sync downloaded transactions into a specific PayPal account in QuickBooks Online.
In order to sync your transactions into a specific PayPal account, you may want to check the PayPal settings to make sure that the transactions are categorized properly.
For Expenses, Deposits, and Transfers, you can create bank rules that categorize transactions based on their type. For Sales, you can modify the category associated with the sale product used on the Sales Receipt.

I am encountering the same issue with my mobile app out of sync with online app. It’s not possible to be logged into wrong account like mentioned in other string of comments.
would appreciate a real fix for this problem
Hello there, @Madfolder.
I have some troubleshooting steps to share so you can get past this hurdle and be able to see all your transaction in QuickBooks Online App.
If transactions are not syncing from the QBO Mobile App to the QBO Windows App, I recommend resetting the QuickBooks Online App. This refreshes the data to ensure that new transactions will be loaded. this will also help us clear out the stored files which impact and causes problems in the system.
To do that:
If the same thing happens after performing the steps above, I'd suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the QBO application. Here's a link that provides complete details about fixing app-related issues: QuickBooks App for Windows General support.
However, if you're accessing QBO using a browser and the transactions you've entered from the mobile app are not showing up, you may access your account on a private window.
At times, the collected cache files on your browser may lead to unexpected behavior like the one that you've experienced upon utilizing the program.
If transactions are now syncing, you may go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. This removes the unnecessary file on your account and reloads your data.
Lastly, you can always check out these resources below that contain details about resolving issues in the mobile app, and on what is the browser that works best with QBO:
In the event that you have questions about this, or need anything else, you can find me here. Have a great day!
Hi sorry but I ma having a problem syncing my iPhone quickbooks with my notebook why???
Let me share some information to sort this out, @Bella2020.
You'd want to make sure that you're using the same login credentials when accessing your account in the mobile app and the regular browser. Doing this will ensure that your data is always in sync with QBO on the web. Also, any task you perform or information you recorded in the app shows up on the web, and vice versa.
If the data is not syncing from your mobile app into the web version, you can try clearing the cache app data in your phone settings. This helps us to refresh your QBO mobile app.
Here's how:
Once completed, re-open the app and log back into your QuickBooks Online account. If the issue persists, you can try uninstalling and reinstalling the app. You can read through this article to learn more about the features that you can access in the mobile app: Compare mobile app features.
Keep me posted if you have other questions about using the QuickBooks Online mobile app.
long time IT guy here, this must be a bug, Ive invoices (under the same account) showing on my iPhone app, but quickbooks online (macOS) isn't syncing those, but is syncing others. are there troubleshooting tricks I can try to get them lined together? (I fear deleting/re-downloading in the case it loses invoices I'm waiting to be paid on)
Hi there, Orleck.
I appreciate you for providing detailed information about your concern for invoices that aren't syncing in the QuickBooks Online (macOS).
There are times when your QuickBooks Online (macOS) app has a lot of data which may cause entries not syncing in the system. To fix this, I suggest performing basic troubleshooting steps. Let's start by resetting the app data to clear the cache and refresh it into its default state. You can follow the steps provided above to see the process. Please note that resetting the app will not lose invoices or any data in your account.
If the issue persists, I suggest reaching out to our Customer Care Team. They can run a screen-sharing session to help verify what's causing the issue.
