Quickbooks Self Employed ISSUE

Hi there, @Studiomama. I can see the importance of having your data back.

Missing invoices is currently an ongoing issue in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE). And our engineering team are actively working to fix this for you. While we're working on this, it would be best to get in touch with our Customer Care Team. They can add you to the list of affected users.

To reach them, click the  Assistant button at the top-right corner and enter your concern in the search icon at the bottom. Ensure to review their support hours to know when agents are available.

When we have more information about the status of this issue, we will update you. We will send the updates to your email address associated with your Intuit account.

Thanks for your patience as we continue working toward a resolution. Don’t hesitate to reach back out if you need anything else. I’m always here to help.

Quickbooks Self Employed ISSUE

I had an issue seeing my invoices on my iPhone and web as well, but I deleted the app and I’m now able to see them again. However, the information is all out of order, doesn’t look anything like it did before and my company info will not show up on the invoice - including my logo, even though it used too. Hopefully this gets resolved soon as I’ve been fielding non stop phone calls from customers with invoice issues and not getting as much actual work done.

Quickbooks Self Employed ISSUE

I understand the urgency of getting this issue resolved, as this caused an inconvenience and interruptions to your work, wcotyjr.

Missing information is usually a result of too much accumulated historical data. Whenever you visit a website, it saves some information from the web page in its cache and cookies. These files allow the websites you visit most often to load faster. Not to worry, clearing them will do the trick.

First, let's try accessing your account through an incognito window to rule out the possibility of a webpage issue. You can refer to these shortcut keys to open an incognito window in all supported browsers:

  • Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: Command Shift + N

If it works, switch back to your regular browser. Then, clear its cache. This way, you can access QuickBooks with a clean slate. You can also use a different supported one.

Let's also try resetting the app data to clear the cache and refresh it into its default state. Before doing so, let's ensure that your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) mobile app is updated as well as your phone's OS. It helps your application work continuously without interruptions.

To clear the app's cache files, here's how:

For iOS:

  1. Go to Help & Feedback at the top menu bar.
  2. Select Reset App Data. Then, click Refresh.

For Android devices:

  1. Go to the More Options  menu.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Tap Refresh Data, and then click Yes.

After that, check your invoices again. If you're experiencing the same result, you'll want to uninstall and then re-install the QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) application.

Let me know if you have follow-up questions or concerns with invoices. I'm here to assist you and ensure your experience with our app is smooth and hassle-free. Take care and stay safe.

Quickbooks Self Employed ISSUE

I’ve already deleted and reinstalled the app as stated - that’s how I was able to start seeing my invoices again after 3 weeks. I’m not sure what this refers to from above:

For iOS:

  1. Go to Help & Feedback at the top menu bar.
  2. Select Reset App Data. Then, click Refresh.

What top menu bar, or where is this top menu bar to get to the Help & Feedback? I just want everything back to the way it was - like everyone else who uses this app to run their businesses.

Hi there, wcotyjr.

Allow me to join the thread and provide information about the invoices in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE).

As I've checked our records, I can see that there's still an ongoing issue with the invoices in QBSE about the updated invoicing platform, missing invoices and some other details. And at this time, our product design team is in the process of doing some work to improve this experience for you. And we're actively working to make those missing invoices available as soon as possible. That said, there's no need to reset your app data.

If you haven't contacted our Customer Care Team, I recommend getting in touch so they can add you to the list of affected users.

To reach them, click the  Assistant button at the top-right corner and enter your concern in the search icon at the bottom when accessing your QBSE account via web browser. Ensure to review their support hours to know when agents are available.

Lastly, here's an article in case you'd want to run reports to view a snapshot of your business: Export transactions and get reports in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Quickbooks Self Employed ISSUE

My customer phone numbers and addresses are missing, along with my company logo on invoices. One of the effects is some of my invoices the customer email address has magically been combined with the customer name and cannot be changed.

This has been happening for weeks now and quickbooks has absolutely no resolution or any need to fess up that they have lost all my customer data.

I cannot invoice, i cannot  even send reminders for past due invoices.

Quickbooks has destroyed my business.

Quickbooks Self Employed ISSUE

SAME! They claimed to have resolved the issue but it’s still missing all of my data and to top it off I tried to get a refund and they said best they could do was discount 1/2 off for next 2-3 months. It makes NO sense to discount me for next few months if I cancel service because your software isn’t working as advertised! Customer service is horrible! Wasted my time on a call over an hour for nothing to be settled, repeating everything I said, and no offer to resolve the issue. This is not legal! Imagine how much money everyone has lost in time and for their business overall? Lawsuit might be in order.

Oh there's tickets open and engineers are "working on it", it's pretty apparent that that quickbooks engineers have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA what they are doing.

My mileage tracking is what's really pissing me off--it will track my miles TO but not FROM a destination.  It shuts off tracking ALL TOGETHER for days at a time when I've put 100s of business miles on in those days.  Heres an example: over the last 3 years at this point in the year I have no less that 7500 business miles tracked. This year, to date, I have 1163 total business miles even though I've put 13k miles on my car!!

Ive consulted their "troubleshooting" but their only suggestion is to check the location is set to Always On, which it always is and has never changed.

These jackasses KNOW they are one of very few choices for self employed accounting apps. But I'm getting ready to go to one of their competitors as a result of the lack of customer service and glitchy app features.

Quickbooks Self Employed ISSUE

Hello there, @Superpaige.

I appreciate you for bringing up your concern about mileage tracking concern in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE). Know that this is not the kind of service that we want you to experience. Let's perform some troubleshooting solutions to get your mileage working out.

As an initial step, let's clear the app's cache files. Doing so helps in fixing any sort of errors in the system. Here’s how:

  1. From the Menu ☰, select Help & Feedback.
  2. Select Refresh Data.
  3. Hit Refresh.

Once refreshed, restart your mobile phone, log back in, and start saving your favorite locations. If you get the same result, uninstall and reinstall the QuickBooks Self-Employed app.

If you forgot your device on a trip or didn't turn it on, you can always enter the mileage manually and add the trips in QuickBooks. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Miles tab.
  2. Click Add Trip.
  3. Fill in the necessary fields.
  4. Switch on the Round Trip radio button.
  5. Click Save.

Well it’s been over 5 months of invoicing issues, over 2 months since my call to customer support where I was told the engineers were days from a fix, a subscription payment increase and yet here I am still having invoicing problems today. How does a massive company like Intuit, who millions trust for doing their taxes and run their businesses, not have the ability to fix an “update” they did and expect business owners to be understanding when they can’t? I’m in the market for a new accounting software for my small business for sure!

Quickbooks Self Employed ISSUE

Obviously you didn’t read my post; I’ve contacted customer support via phone, was told I was on some expedited fix list and that a software engineer would contact me within days. As a matter of fact, I was told on August 1 that they were meeting and were thought to have a fix as I spoke with the agent on the phone. Then, a raise in subscription prices during all of this, which I was told was for product improvement!!! HA! How about we fix what was messed up with the “upgrade” and then worry about product improvements and raising subscription prices. To be fair, I was given a discount, but all of the extra work that I’ve had to do because of the software issues has definitely outweighed that.

Every time a person posts an issue with this it’s the same song and dance; do this, try this, contact this person, get on a list, etc, etc, etc - and that’s already been done multiple times. Unacceptable!
