I just did the process and I saw the balances are off as I am trying to convert QBO to QB Desktop..
How will I fix the QuickBooks Online invoice with payments that are not exported to Desktop? I don't know why these invoices and payments and linked deposits were not exported.
Can you help me to fix it?
You may contact us in private for assistance.
Why private? Are you going to answer my questions for free or not??
It depends on your issue. We can help to migrate your data if required.
wHAT SHOULD BE THE ISSUES WHY INVOICES AND DEPOSITS WERE NOT IMPORTEDD
Let me answer your imported concern directly to guide you accordingly, @RodenA.
Invoices and deposits should import into your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) transparently. I'll share a few reasons why some transactions are not been imported to QBDT). So it will be correct at the earliest opportunity.
Here are the possible reasons why your transaction won't convert in QBDT:
Also, to know how the transactions converted to QBDT, see the following details below:
For more details, see this link: Limitations when you convert from QuickBooks Online to QuickBooks Desktop. Directly go to the Transactions section.
To ensure that your books match and that the information is imported correctly, I suggest running Profit and Loss on QuickBooks Online. Then, compare it to the same report in QBDT on an accrual basis. For more information, see Step 5 in this article: Export and convert your QuickBooks Online data to QuickBooks Desktop.
If the issue continues, I'd recommend contacting our Customer Care Team. They may investigate your account to know why invoices and deposits are not imported into your account. Follow the steps outlined by Candice in this thread. Make sure to reach them within business hours to ensure a swift response.
In addition, see this article on how to import lists in QBDT: Move lists and balances from QuickBooks Online to QBDT.

If it is so simple not sure why I have been working on this for 2 hours. When I type in the export URL that is stated in the instructions I don't get the same thing appearing as what the help article shows. I get no option to download a migration tool as I'm trying to move the online QuickBooks to the desktop which is another issue on its own. There should be something to advise customer about this as I would have rather used the desktop version instead of online if I needed to migrate data.
Once I type in the export address as indicated the only thing that comes up is the following "You can also export to excel to get the data . This is extremely frustrating that I'm following exactly what is stating to do and I'm getting something completely different, I can't find anything at all in the instructions to export if this appears do this.
Hello crowefitness!
I understand that you need to convert your QuickBooks Online data to QuickBooks Desktop. We want the process to be as seamless as possible. Allow me to assist you with it.
First, I'd like to share this screenshot. This is how the button looks like to download the migration tool.
The most possible reason why it doesn't show this button on your end is because of a browser issue. You'll want to use an incognito window and migrate the data from there. Incognito won't save your browsing history which can result in an error. These are some of the shortcut keys:
Also, you'll want to clear the cache and make sure you're using a supported and up-to-date browser cause it can fix any browser-related issues.
If the same thing happens, please reach out to our Support Team so they can investigate it:
Also, I added this link if you need to help in running reports in QuickBooks Desktop: Understand reports.
I'll be here if you need more assistance with this. Take care!

Do you need to import bank statements data into your QB Desktop file, correct?
Which QB Desktop year version do you have?
Hello there, @Smccall22.
I hear your sentiments. Let me make it up to you by sharing a couple of details regarding pulling up bank information in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).
Since you mentioned above that you’ve been on the phone with a representative, we’ll also take note of that experience to share with the team and put an action into it. This also helps us improve our way of delivering a resolution to our valued customers.
If you want to import your transactions into QuickBooks Desktop, you can do it with Web Connect files so they become available in your bank feeds. You can obtain the transactions from your bank's website by logging in. Save them to your PC after you're finished. Then you can import them right away by following these steps:
On the other hand, if the names of your vendors and customers are not available when you import your bank transactions, you can enter them manually in your account.
Furthermore, you can check out the following articles about adding and matching transactions as well as reconciling your account in QuickBooks Desktop.
Let me know if you need further assistance with banking. I’ll make sure to get back to you as soon as I can. Have a great day!
I would love to talk to someone from customer service regarding my exporting process. I am very unhappy, and now have to use desktop & online. I also had to pay my IT company almost $1,000.00 to help with this transfer because they kept getting the run around. As a small business we cannot afford to pay these mounting expenses
Hello, @Rtw6676.
Thanks for taking the time to follow the thread and sharing your concerns here in the QuickBooks Community.
Please understand this isn't the impression we wish to leave you with. I'd love to lend a hand with your exporting process. If you don't mind, could you share what issues you're having with it? Please know that getting you back to business is our top priority.
However, if you'd rather speak with our Customer Support Team over the phone, you can use the link I've included below to connect with an agent.
I also wanted to provide our guide to exporting. Within this guide, it will cover everything you need to know when it comes to exporting from QuickBooks.
I'll be sure to keep an eye out for your reply and look forward to chatting with you soon. Take care!
