How do I sync my bank transactions more then 3 months back?

You can use the supported file to download those transactions, @info-livspalife-.

QuickBooks Online lets you upload 90 days' worth of bank transactions. You can use Web Connect files to get the older ones imported into the program. To do this, just get the bank data from your bank using the supported file types, download it to Excel, and then upload it into QBO.

Here are the file types you can use:

  • Comma-Separated Values (CSV)
  • Quicken (QFX)
  • QuickBooks Online (QBO)
  • Microsoft Money (OFX)

Once ready, you can now upload your transactions into QBO. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Banking menu, and then choose Upload transactions.
  2. Select Browse and pick the file you downloaded from your bank, then tap Next
  3. From the QuickBooks account ▼ drop-down menu, choose the account you want to upload the transactions into, and then click Next.
  4. Follow the onscreen instructions. Match the columns on the file with the banking fields in QuickBooks, and then tap Next.
  5. Hit Let's go when you're ready.

Thank you for following this thread, Indyreads67.

I appreciate following the solution shared by my peer and letting us know the result. I’m here to ensure you can download your bank transactions into QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

Let’s go to the Bank Feeds Center to bring in the data to your company file. Follow the steps below to accomplish this task.

Here’s how:

  1. Navigate to the Banking menu on the left panel and choose the Banking Center.
  2. Look for your Financial Institution (FI) from the list and select Download Transactions.
  3. This action opens a browser window to your bank's website.
  4. From there, log in to your account and download the Web Connect file.

Now that you have the file, you can import it into QBDT. Check this article for more details: Download Bank Feed transactions in QuickBooks Desktop. It includes instructions on how to import entries outside of the desktop program.

Also, this reference provides contains topics that will guide you to efficiently handle your bank data as well as manage your online banking: Self-help articles.

Don’t hesitate to leave a comment if you have additional banking concerns. I’ll be glad to assist further. Have a great weekend.

I appreciate you for joining this thread, @Anita35. It's my priority to help you download your bank transactions in QuickBooks.

You can convert your bank file types to a CVS using a third-party app. Aside from CSV, you can also convert them to either of the following supported file types:

  • Quicken (QFX)
  • QuickBooks Online (QBO)
  • Microsoft Money (OFX)

That being said, you'll want to visit the QuickBooks Apps site and look for an application that meets your business needs. You can also do this inside your company, just go to Apps on the left panel and then enter a keyword in the search field.

Once converted, make sure it's in the correct format before you upload it.

@Anita35

You can open the XLS file in Excel and save it as CSV. Otherwise, utilize the converter tool to convert PDF or QIF to QBO.

Hi wvhay.

Thank you for joining the conversation. I'm happy to provide the step-by-step process to upload your bank transactions using an Excel file in a CSV format.

Your excel file should have a Date, Description, and Amount column. These are the only things we need to import your transactions. Some banks provide one column for the amount while others provide two, as shown below.

If you've downloaded a file in the XLSX format, which is the usual format for Excel files, you need to save it as CSV. It's the compatible file format for uploading transactions using Excel files.

  1. Open the Excel file, and make sure it has the three columns I mentioned above.
  2. Click File menu and select Save as.
  3. Select a destination folder where you want to save the file.
  4. In the File name field, enter the name of the file. Example: December 2022 transactions.
  5. In the Save as window, click the Save as type droplist.
  6. Select CSV (comma delimited) or CSV (comma-separated values), depending on what you see.
  7. Click Save.

After creating a CSV copy, upload your transactions using the steps in this article: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online. Go to the Step 4 section and expand the option that is applicable to you. Then, you can follow Steps 5-6.

If you need more help with uploading your transactions, feel free to go back to this thread. We're just around to help.
