Yeah these mods just don’t get it which makes you wonder! Statements are used as part of the reconciliation process once you imported either manually or automatically your transactions. They keep answering as if the problem is with the transactions downloads. That’s not the issue. I too used get my statements imported but that stopped some time ago, although they do import for another bank that I have a credit card with. But the mods obviously have never reconciled a bank account or they can’t read clear English
Did you try entering a zero sum reconciliation (ending balance matching beginning balance for the same date)? This prompted the statements to auto import again when I was having trouble with Wells Fargo.
I did but it didn't help. Thanks though!
It's frustrating. I appreciate that they are TRYING to help but it gets a little old when user after user clarifies the issue and still we get the same responses. It's like they see the "not importing" part and then that's it.
I appreciate your back-and-forth to resolve your banking issue, @SMH4875. I can think of one situation why you're experiencing this.
Right now, there are only a few selected banks that let you view your bank statements right from QBO. See the image below to know where you can see it from your company.
If you don't have the above option, then your banking company likely doesn't support this. I completely understand how useful the feature is especially when you're reconciling accounts for multiple clients, or reconciling several statements for the same account. Rest assured that we're working with financial institutions to make this functionality more widely available. Here's the list of supported banks that you can browse.
I'd recommend contacting your bank to obtain copies of your statements. When reconciling, you can then manually upload them to QBO. Here's how:
In case you encounter an error, don't worry. Here's how to resolve them while uploading your transactions.
Feel free to contact me again if you have any further banking concerns. We'll make sure to respond as soon as we can. Stay safe at all times!
Thanks. My bank is on the list of supported banks and i have the "view statements" button. It's just that when i click on it, it says "no statements available" even after i refresh it. It did NOT used to be this way. When i first started with QBO the statements imported in to QBO just like the individual transactions. So i don't know what changed.
I appreciate the update and additional details, SMH4875.
Ensuring the resolution of this issue is of utmost importance to us, as we want you to be able to download transactions in QBO. Upon reviewing the previous responses, In can see that all potential troubleshooting steps have already been provided in this thread.
Given this situation, I suggest getting in touch with our support team once more. They can delve deeper into the issue and explore alternative solutions to resolve this matter.
Here's how to reach out to them:

I am the person who originally posted this question... more than two years ago. My experience echos SMH4875s, bank is on the list of banks that support this feature, View Statements button is there, message that no statements are available appears. Since multiple people are getting this error, why do each of us need to spend valuable time with customer support on this? Can't your tech people look into it?
Agree!!
Honestly, I think at 75% of the "Team" are just bots. Look for keywords, post generic response; rinse, repeat. That's why we keep getting the same incorrect answer even though we've explained the issue.
This is the same in many different threads across the forum.
I pretty much ignore answers that aren't from fellow accountants.
You may be right! It's frustrating that ithe ball is in our court to spend hours with tech support when it's clearly a bigger issue than one customer at one particular bank. Meanwhile, our subscription fees keep going up.
And this is why I am rabidly supportive of antitrust.
They already owned Lacerte... then they bought TurboTax... I have a subcontractor that can't make an account with her email because intuit has her tax data somewhere and she's positive she's only ever gone to HRB.
It's terrifying, really, that Intuit was allowed to get so big. Maybe with the lawsuit this year, they'll have more eyes on them. *fingers crossed*
Hello,
I am having the same problem as GKB, and also. Proadvisor. I only have 3 clients at this time, more tax only clients, and all three, the auto import statements ceased working. There is not a problem with connection as transactions downloading work fine. Did QB change the software you use for the statement import feature? Being an accounting professional who also does their tax returns, maintain independent, do not have 2 of their bank log ins. What are my options for help please?

Thanks for getting back to us, I'll add some details about the auto-import of statements in QuickBooks, Rev.
Technically, if your bank is supported, you should be able to enjoy the feature. Unless, there are issues with your bank. May I know what's the name of your bank? This way, we'll be able to know if there are certain banks that encounters problems about importing statements.
In the meantime, try to use an incognito window when logging into your account to see if you're able to view the option. I've added the shortcut keys below for your convenience.
You may also want to switch to a different supported browser. We do this this sometimes because they often interpret or display website source slightly in different ways.
In addition, learn how QuickBooks gives you more information when running reports so you'll get the data you need. You'll only have to ensure to customize them from filters to layout so the right data will show in your end. Check out this article for more information: Customize Reports In QuickBooks Online.
Let me know if you have any other issues or question with importing statement. I'll be right here if you need further assistance. Just mention me.
It's been over two years and this issue has not been solved. Your options are getting statements from clients as needed or switching to another software. I'm considering Xero for new clients.
However, I did recently have a NEW bank start importing statements. But only one out of his three accounts for the same bank. Who knows.
My suggestion is run away from Intuit products. I'm considering zero but with an X for new clients, personally. This issue is two+ years old and clearly there's no acknowledgement from QBO.
Are you a bot? Cause I don't know how a human could possibly feign ignorance of this ongoing, years long, issue.
Mich S,
appreciate your response to this 2 year old thread on auto import of statements are not working; however, if the problem has been happening for this long and still not fixed, there must be a communication misunderstanding.
in my case, the auto import of the statements is with Bank of America and had been working perfect, close to 10 years, just stopping for no reason with the September 2023 statements. With another client, the bank is Fifth Third Bank and had been working over 5 years, while their other bank, Ally Bank, is still working. Another client, used First Bank & Trust of Tennessee, and worked only sporadically. All three of these clients continue to show the “view statements” button, indicating they are still enrolled, and all three clients have verified the problem is not with their banks. With so many having this problem, clearly indicates a problem has occurred on QB side. Thank you for Intuit’s diligence in rectifying this most urgent problem for us pro-advisors.

thank you for the reply; however, the “supported bank” suggestion is a bit foolish, as stated in original thread message, 1 client has had the auto import of statement feature working close to 10 years, and their bank is Bank of America. The other had worked about 5 years (Fifth Third Bank), while Ally Bank statements still importing for 5 years or so, and third bank is First Bank & Trust of TN and worked sporadically. All three still show “view statements” button indicating still enrolled in the feature.
The Incognito window did not work. The change browser suggestion is a bit foolish, as all three clients having this 2 plus year old problem with, has been using the same browser the entire time.
the reports suggestion should not have even been made in this thread as not even relevant to this problem.
is there anyone working for Intuit, who can see clearly this multiple customer, two plus year, problem who can find and repair the programming?
thank you
william h fix jr
I understand the importance of having updated data from your bank, @Rev-Bill-Fix-Jr.
Currently, we have an ongoing investigation about Fifth Third Bank and Bank of America about missing banking statements into the program. Please be assured that our engineers are working diligently to resolve this problem.
I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Support Team so that you'll be added to the list of affected users. This way, you'll receive email updates on the investigation's status and be notified once it's been resolved. I've included the steps to contact support below.

I appreciate your patience as we work through this. If you have any other concerns or questions about managing your bank transactions, please don't hesitate to add a comment below. I'll be glad to help you out.
Having same issue with multiple clients that have Bank of America. Since September statements are no longer loading to QBO. Yes, getting transactions, but not statements.
Tried the zero sum reconcile and did not work.
The whole idea of having bank statements auto imported is so we, as proadvisors, to not have to have our clients keep wasting their time from running their business, to log on to their bank website, download the statements, then emailing them to us, so we can open each one, individually, and upload them into QB as back up, after reconciling.
And please read through ALL the pro-advisors problems and notice none have the problem downloading the transactions, and that view transactions link used to indicate the auto import statement feature has been enrolled it; and should work.
A question to something I read in your response: Are you implying, with the statement, there are very few banks who permit auto import statements, when this was NOT the case just a few years ago, when us proadvisors began having the problem, which would further imply that Intuit, had decided to begin dropping banks from the auto import statement feature, which would disable proadvisors from serving our clients effectively?
thank you
William
Hi there, @GKC_FL, Rev-Bill-Fix-Jr. I understand the importance of having accurate and up-to-date financial information. I'm here to provide clarification about the issue that you're having with your bank statements.
As per checking in our resources, a few selected banks let you view your bank statements right from QBO. If you don’t see this option, your bank may not support this feature yet. We're working to add more banks soon. Rest assured that we're working with financial institutions to make this functionality more widely available.
On the other hand, if you're bank is on the list, I recommend reaching out to your financial institution to inquire if there are any known issues or technical difficulties that could be affecting the loading of statements into QBO. They will be able to provide you with specific information regarding the status of your statements and any potential solutions.
Additionally, I've added this article to manage bank transactions in QBO: Categorize and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.
I encourage you to reconcile your accounts in QBO regularly. This helps monitor your income and expense transactions and detect possible errors accordingly. You can also check out this article to guide you in reconciliations in QBO: Learn the reconciliation workflow in QuickBooks.
If you have any further banking concerns, don't hesitate to get in touch. We'll do our best to reply promptly.
