In case you've already added the account to your Chart of Accounts, I'd suggest following these steps to connect it.

I'm adding the bank to quickbooks enterprise desktop, not online and I do not want to connect to the bank or upload transactions but just add the bank if possible.

I need to add an additional account to quickbooks for the same organization but it is with a new bank and once set up I need to order checks with this new account information.

I look under both bank transactions as well as transactions tab and am not able to locate add bank
Hi! When I first started with QuickBooks, there wasn't the variety of banks available, so I just typed mine in there and the computer eventually found it. Also, you may be using a bank that is a subsidiary to another bank with a slightly different name so I would get out my bank account (or boot it up) to copy the exact name of the bank. Hope that helps.
