Payment received and showing deposited, but not in my bank acct.

I'm here to ensure the payment will reflect in your bank account, cberryplumbing.

If you're using QuickBooks Online Payments,  your first deposits take a bit longer while we set up your account. Once done, your payments will be deposited within two business days. Though, some banks may take longer to process the transaction. For more details, please see this article: Payments Deposits in QuickBooks Online.

In case you're manually recording the payments, you might have chosen the Undeposited Funds as the Deposit to account.

Here's how to deposit these payments:

  1. Go to the + New and then select Bank Deposit.
  2. Select the bank account you wish to deposit the payments.
  3. In the Received from column, select the invoice/payment.
  4. Once done, click on Save and close.

For further guidance, please check out this article: Make Bank Deposit.

I've also included these articles to ensure your payments are recorded accurately in QuickBooks:

I'll be glad to help you again if you have more questions about managing your sales transactions. Please add the details in the comment section.

Thank you for joining us here in the Community, @Sweetcakes2020. I appreciate you letting us know you have the same issue about the payment deposit. I'll share some insights to help you learn more about the depositing time of the payments.

After your first payment, we will deposit your funds within five business days. While we set up your merchant account, your first deposits take longer. Your funds will be deposited sooner when we've finished, usually within two business days.

Your payments will be deposited on American Express's schedule if you have an ESA account with them. This account's transactions aren't eligible for next-day deposits. American Express manages the deposit schedule for ESA account holders.

Check these articles to learn more about the deposit of the payment:

You can also check the steps above provided by my colleague, @CharleneMae_F, to record the payment to your QuickBooks Online account.

I'm also adding this article as your reference to categorize and match bank transactions: Categorize and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

Let me know if you have additional questions about the payment deposit. I'm always here to help.

I have the same issue. The quickbook online says the money is in the bank. But it's not! Why it tells me something that's not true? Also, from the time the payment was made until now, it's been 6 days. Why is that Quickbook is holding the payment for so long? I checked the Quickbook merchant website, it says the payments are funded, and deposited, but they are not in the bank. Please explain.

As referenced by my peers above, if you're a new user, we'll deposit your first set of payments within 5 business days. The deposit speed would depend on the service you're using and the type of payment.

The first deposits take a bit longer since we're setting up and finalizing your merchant account. Rest assured, they will be deposited much faster after we're done.

You can go to your Payments section in QuickBooks Online and check your current deposit speed from there. Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon at the upper right corner and choose Account and settings.
  2. Select the Payments tab.
  3. Review the Deposit Speed section.

To learn more on how QuickBooks Payments handles your deposit and funds, I'd recommend checking out this article: Find out when QuickBooks Payments deposits customer payments.

If you haven't received the funds on the allocated time, I'd recommend getting in touch with our QuickBooks Payments Support so they can help check the status and trace your payments.

My payment was received on 10/12. It showed received but not deposited. Yesterday 10/18 I did the bank deposit in QBO. The funds have not hit my bank account yet and it is over 5 business days. Please advise.

Do you have to do the "bank deposit" in QBO for funds to transfer or is it done automatically?

Intuit deposits most card and ACH payments the next day. If you process a customer payment before 3 PM PT, it will be sent to your account the next business day. In the event you process payments after 3 PM PT, they'll be deposited in two business days.

For new QuickBooks Payments accounts, any ACH payments you process will take longer to deposit during your first month. You'll receive payments within 5 days for the first 1 to 4 weeks. Once this process is complete, you'll receive an email from Intuit about it.

You can check the status of batches in QuickBooks Online.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Get paid & pay.
  2. Choose Deposits.
  3. Select a deposit you want to review.

Successful deposits will say Funded in their Status column. If there's an issue with one, you'll see a Withheld or Batch Deposit Returned notice in its Status column. You can use your Drop-Down Arrow (▼) icon in the Fee column to review details about what's going on with your funds.

Intuit also sends emails when funds are held for reviews or a deposit is rejected from a bank. Be sure to check your email for any notifications, as these emails will go over what you need to do.

In the event a batch says it was deposited for its status, your funds are on their way. Keep in mind, some financial institutions hold funds after Intuit sends them. If this occurs, you'll need to work with your bank if they require additional steps.

You also have the option of getting in touch with our Customer Care team to discuss the status of deposits. They'll be able to pull up your account in a secure environment and conduct further research with you.

Here's how to reach them:

  1. Use the Help (?) icon.
  2. Click Contact Us.
  3. Enter a description of your situation in the What can we help you with? field, then hit Let's talk.
  4. Select Start messaging or Get a call.

Be sure to review their support hours so you'll know when agents are available.

I've also included a detailed resource about funding timeframes which may come in handy moving forward: Find out when Intuit deposits customer payments

If there's any additional questions, I'm just a post away. Have a lovely day!

We have the same issue. It's been a month that the client paid us through QuickBooks and we still can't release the funds. We have been talking to a Quickbooks representative and she told us she does not understand why we haven't received the funds yet

Thank you for letting us know about this, StudioDuo.

I understand it hasn't been easy for you, especially since it's been almost a month and the funds haven't been released. Typically, it only take within five business days to deposit the money to your bank account.

Your issue requires further investigation into why it's taking so long when you're supposed to have received the funds already. We've requested our QuickBooks Payments Team to look into your account and see what's causing the delay.

If you haven't received it by now, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Payments again to inquire about the status of our request. They'll be able to access your account and view the information.

Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Select Help (?) at the top right.
  3. Select or type Contact Us.
  4. Enter your concern, then select Let's talk.
  5. Choose a Start a chat.

You may also contact them directly through the number display on this link: Contact QuickBooks Payments.

If you need anything else in QuickBooks, don't hesitate to post again. We're available to help you at any time.

Need help. My money says it’s been deposited but into QuickBooks account but is less than what I got paid and it hasn’t been deposited into my actual bank account. I need access to my fund to run my business. What’s going on?

Payment received and showing deposited, but not in my bank acct.

Hello there, @AnthonyG97. Let me address your deposit concern so you can get back to business.

In QuickBooks Online (QBO), deposit speeds vary depending on the product you're using and the type of payment. With the exception of Sundays, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. If you're a new user, we'll deposit your first set of payments within 5 business days.

Since your funds are not yet deposited, it's possible that there may be some delay in the transfer process. Here are the following reasons why:

  • When your payment processing exceeds the established maximum dollar amount expected on your account.
  • When a transaction is processed after several authorization attempts and failures.
  • When certain transactions require verification of your business type to ensure it complies with the Intuit Acceptable Use Policy.
  • When our systems identify processing patterns that pose a risk to any of the parties involved: you, your customer, or Intuit.

Additionally, if you process customer payments before 3 PM PT, we'll deposit them in your bank account the next business day. If you process payments after 3 PM PT, we'll deposit them in two business days. You can also check your deposit speed in your QBO account.

Also, you can go ahead and check the status of your deposit by signing in to the Merchant Service Center. If you see the word "Withheld" in the Method column, that payment is on hold and we're reviewing it. You'll usually get an email to give you specific steps to accomplish.

Moreover, I got you this article to get more details about payment hold, feel free to read through this article: Why are my funds on hold?

If you require any additional assistance with regard to payment deposits, don't hesitate to reach us out again. Take care.

Payment received and showing deposited, but not in my bank acct.

I'm having this same issue, however I called Quickbooks yesterday and they told me it was sent to my bank.  Today is 6/1/23 and I had 1 deposit on 5/26/23, and 2 on 5/30/23 and still not in my bank account.  Is there anything I need to do in quickbooks to allow that money to be deposited.  The person I spoke to yesterday gave me 2 trace ID's and I was told on her end it would be deposited last night, still not the case.  What can I do?

Thanks for joining this thread, @Top Tier Painting LLC .

If this is your first time using QuickBooks Payments, please note that your initial batch of payments will be deposited within 5 business days. The speed of deposits will vary based on the specific service and payment method you're using.

The slightly longer processing time for your first deposit is due to the setup and finalization of your merchant account. Once this initial step is complete, you can expect future deposits to be processed at a quicker pace.

You can also check your current deposit speed in QuickBooks Online. Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon at the upper right corner and choose Account and settings.
  2. Select the Payments tab.
  3. Review the Deposit Speed section.

Alternatively, you can access a comprehensive record of your payment activities across all QuickBooks products through the Merchant Service Center. To check the status of your payments, follow these simple steps:

  1. Sign in to the Merchant Service Center.
  2. From the homepage, select Activities & Reports and click Deposits.
  3. Select the date range in the Dates field.
  4. Click Search.

Payments that have been successfully processed will appear as Funded under the Status column. If a payment shows this status, it means we have already transferred the funds, and your money is currently being processed by the banking system. Keep in mind that some banks hold onto funds after we deposit them. At this point, you'll need to work with your bank to see if they require additional steps.

If you don't receive the funds within the expected timeframe, contact our QuickBooks Payments team. They will be able to investigate and provide you with the current status of the pending payments.

To learn more on how QuickBooks Payments handles your deposit and funds, I'd recommend checking out this article: Find out when QuickBooks Payments deposits customer payments.
