Paypal Won't Connect - Philippines

Hello there, Josh Saga.

I would like to clarify first if your QuickBooks Online account is registered in the US region? If yes, you should not see this error message since the PayPal connection is available in QBO US.

We can try using an incognito window when connecting PayPal in QuickBooks Online (QBO). You can use any of these keyboard shortcuts to access one:

  • Ctrl + Shift + N for Google Chrome
  • Ctrl + Shift + P for Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge
  • Command + Shift + N for Safari

If it works, go back to the regular browser and clear its cache. Also, you can use other supported browsers.

On the other hand, if your QuickBooks account is registered in the Philippine version, it is not yet supported in the International version. That's the reason why you're getting that message.

As a workaround, you can manually upload the bank transactions using the CSV file to bring them to QuickBooks.

Download transactions from your bank by logging in to your bank's website. Then, follow the given instructions on how to download transactions and save the file on your desktop or anywhere you can easily find it.

Once done, upload them to your book by following these steps:

  1. Sign to your QBO account and select Transactions on the left panel.
  2. Click the  Link account drop-down arrow.
  3. Select Upload from file. Then, click the file you've saved on your computer.

You can use these articles as additional reference in fixing bank upload errors, categorizing transactions after importing them, and the reconciliation workflow in QBO:

Let me know if you have other questions about bank transactions. I'm right here to assist you anytime. Stay safe, Josh Saga.

Thank you for getting back, Josh.

Yes, you can switch from QuickBooks Online (QBO) Philippines to QBO US. You can either retain your QBO PH account or cancel it, then subscribe to the US version.

To cancel your account:

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks as a master admin through a web browser.
  2. Go to the Gear icon, then click on Account and settings.
  3. Go to the Billing & Subscription tab.
  4. In the QuickBooks section, select Cancel subscription or Cancel online.
  5. Follow the on-screen pop-ups to complete the process.

Additionally, here's how you can cancel a subscription purchased through an iOS or Android device: Cancel your QuickBooks Online subscription or trial.

Once done, you're now ready to purchase a QBO US plan. You can select your options from this link: Choose the plan that's right for your business.

When you're ready to connect your PayPal account to QBO, use these links as your guides:

On the other hand, you might want to review the topics from this article for your reference in handling your downloaded banking entries: Categorize and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

If you have any other follow-up questions about QuickBooks and Paypal connections, let me know by adding a comment below. I'm always here to help. Keep safe!

@Josh Saga

If you want to keep using QBO Philippines version, explore this app to connect with PayPal

https://synder.grsm.io/quickbooks

https://www.integromat.com/?pc=quickbooks

Otherwise, open a new blank QBO US version

https://quickbooks.grsm.io/US

https://quickbooks.grsm.io/us-promo

then you may have 2 ways to migrate data:

1. Utilize a migration tool

https://transactionpro.grsm.io/qbo

2. Purchase a 3rd party conversion service.
