Why is the etsy connector still not working?

I understand how challenging it can be when your Etsy Connector isn't working as expected. Let me help you fix this.

 

There are several reasons why the Etsy Connector might not be working properly:

 

  • API Changes or Updates: Sometimes, updates from Etsy can cause temporary disruptions in connectivity.
  • Authorization Issues: The connector may require reauthorization to re-establish the link between Etsy and QuickBooks.
  • Connectivity Issues: Check for any interruptions in internet connectivity that could affect the connection between QuickBooks and Etsy.
  • Service Outages: Occasionally, there may be service outages or system maintenance on Etsy’s end.

 

Before we proceed with the troubleshooting, I'd like to ask what specific problem did you encounter when using the Etsy Connector. Did you see any error messages while connecting your Etsy? Or the connection stops syncing your transactions between QBO and Etsy.

 

If the connection has stopped the sync, let's proceed to disconnect and reconnect the app to refresh the connection. Ensure to categorize the unreviewed transactions before disconnecting to avoid missing transactions. 

 

Moreover, we can also proceed to ensure this isn't a browser related issue. The cached files sometimes fills your browser's storage which causes some websites to have feature malfunctions. Let's start with accessing QuickBooks Online using incognito mode or a private window.

 

Here are the shortcut keys to go private mode in a browser:

 

For Google Chrome / Microsoft Edge / Opera:
 

  • Windows: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mac: Command ⌘ + Shift + N

For Firefox:
 

  • Windows: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Mac: Command ⌘ + Shift + P

For Safari:
 

  • Shift + Command ⌘ + N

If this works, you can proceed to clear your browser's cache and cookies to clear temporary files running in your browser that have caused the malfunctions. Otherwise, you can also use other supported browsers to ensure it runs QBO efficiently.

 

If the issue persists, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Online live support to investigate this case further. They have the right tools to pinpoint the cause of the issue and you'll get notified once it's fixed.

 

After that, you can also consider importing you transactions from your Etsy Shop to your QBO account.
