It's my pleasure to help you change your email provider in QuickBooks Online (QBO) to ensure you can email invoices flawlessly.
Beforehand, may I know what specific error message you encountered when trying to send invoices from your QBO account?
If you mean changing the email provider when sending invoices to your customers, you can only connect and use a Gmail address to do so:
- Create an invoice or open an existing one.
- Enter all the details of the invoice, then tap Save and send.
- Click the drop-down list in the From field and choose Add Gmail address.
- Choose Connect Google account.
- Enter your username and password, then follow the succeeding prompts to link the Gmail account.
Please remember that before sending the invoice, click the drop-down list again for From and select the Gmail account. Every email transaction will also be visible in your Gmail account's Sent folder.
However, if the issue persists, I suggest sending your invoices through a private/incognito window if you haven't tried it. The private window will not save any history, making it a good place to identify browser problems. Here's how:
- Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
- Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
- Safari: press Command + Shift + N
If you can see send invoices using a private browser, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. Clearing the cache or cookies is the best way to get a clean slate for your browser. Otherwise, using other supported browsers can be a good alternative.
