We'd really want to make sure that you're able to print your 1099s so you can file them on time, @T00thpick.

First, let's make sure to download the latest QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) and payroll tax table release to have the recent features and patches.

Then, make sure to run QBDT as an admin. To do that, right-click on the QuickBooks icon, and then select Run as administrator.

Furthermore, you can check out this article to use Print Repair Tool if in case the first troubleshooting doesn't work.

Thank you for visiting the QuickBooks Community. I'll be sharing details on how printing a 1099 form works with the new updates.

Intuit offers 1099 Forms (two per sheet) with a size of 8 1/2" x 11" and compatible double-window envelopes of 5 5/8" x 8 3/4". However, with the new tax year last 2021, form 1099-NEC was resized, and the height of the form was reduced to accommodate three forms on a page. That said, QuickBooks can only print 1099's three to a page and four forms on a page is currently unavailable.

On the other hand, QuickBooks has a time-saving feature to help you prepare your 1099s from the info you already have in your accounts. When preparing 1099 forms, if you choose not to e-file with Intuit, you'll want to print out copies to mail and complete your filing with the IRS, plus print and send a copy to each of your contractors.

I printed my 1099-nec's on blank paper (just to make sure they lined up) but now THEY WON'T PRINT AT ALL!  I can't even preview.  Quickbooks Pro Plus Desktop 2022.  Help!!!

If I may ask, have you tried performing the steps provided by ChristieAnn from this link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/taxes/re-we-have-just-upgraded-to-qb-pro-plus-desk...? If not, I suggest running the QuickBooks Print & Print Repair Tool from the QuickBooks Tool Hub to fix common the issue and print your forms.

1. Choose Program Problems in the QuickBooks Tool Hub.
2. Select QuickBooks PDF & Print Repair Tool. It will take about a minute to run.
3. Try to print, email, or save as a PDF from QuickBooks Desktop again.

I have the 1099 forms, (NEC) do not need to purchase the kit. How  do I bypass purchasing the kit.
